I have to say I agree with banning MyCroft.

To start with he played a very clever game, he was careful what he wrote. Lately he seems to have become careless and more and more outrageous in the things he's written.

Look back over his posts and you won't see the problem - if you catch them before they are edited that's another story.

I used to respect MyCroft in a strange kind of way - he was forthright with his views - which were confrontational, and yet refused to rise to the taunting and insults thrown at him. He seemed to have lost that ability lately though.

A shame, I sincerely hope he is a nicer, less arrogant person in real life.

I think its absolutely pathetic lol

ITS THE INTERNET for gods sake!!

Like G8WRC mentioned, we do not have an issue with him on the MLR, the GTR website does not have an issue with him - why should scoobynet?

Could it be becuase there are too many "sensitive types" on here who get offended beacuse he does fit the "scooby mould".

He would goad someone into biting, they would go right off the handle & of course it was his fault - you guys make a rod off your own back here sometimes... like I say, never a problem anywhere else....

Maybe some of you should take a stand back from the scoobynet community & question whether its him or you...

Nanny state springs to mind, im still in shock that I would have been grassed up by hundereds of scoobynet users for not taxing my vehicle on a previous thread...

Sums this place up sometimes

He never bragged about racing people, that was the Scooby people, all he said was he had a particular car, and when jumped on to PROOVE it, he denied racing them.

He was antagonistic, but had a wonderful way of winding people up, that quite a few testosterone filled people bit, the rest of us just thought...whatever!!

Shame you had to ban him, im not even questioning your reasons, just a shame.

Long live mycroft a man who wont follow the croud (even if he did talk rubbish)

I think he was a bit over the top, but what if he just re-joins under another name?

How can the powers that be stop him/her?

Catflap, he bragged plenty about racing, and issued road race challenges when he first showed up.
It's a shame he had to go, but then he was only here to wind people up.
I've seen some of his contributions on other boards and many were interesting, made people think. Problem is Scoobynet is chock full of insecure people with tiny ego;s, and he had a blast baiting them. Personally I can't see the appeal in winding strangers up, very unsatisfying, but each to their own.

QUOTE:

Of course you will be able to set up another account and continue to use scoobynet, but this will be considered an abuse of thi service and we will use the wealth of data and information we have about you in order to take further action should you decide to attempt to use scoobynet without permission again.

I think this amounts to threatening behaviour... be careful!
(generalising like that can be misconstrued, try to be specific)

Hi All

I think we can leave this now. The decision has been made. It was warranted, so there is no need to debate it. If you disagree, you either do not have all of the information, or the burden of responsibilities to support your decision. There is always more to everything than meets the eye.

It is interesting to me however that Mycroft (after telling us so proudly that all we needed to do was say the word and he would leave) decided to go in to chat last night and spoil it for everyone in the most pathetic manner imaginable.

I personally consider that an abuse of the terms given to mycroft. So.

Mycroft

So that there is no confusion, I have blocked your chat account also. The abuse of scoobynet is already documented and is deserved of reports to your isp and employers as it stands. This is the VERY last thing we want to do, but will be forced to make these complaints should we consider it necessary to protect scoobynet (regardless of any technicality or reason).

If you would like to discuss this by email, I would be more than happy to.

All the best

Simon
