Top stuff mate - you can drop the seat, theres a few threads on 205gtidrivers - but its a bit of a task! Town traffic, queues etc - yup! clutch is fun, one of the things the driving tests brought up when it first came out too!!Looks and handling though, you can't fault it - it simply should not be able to corner like it does!

Hello all.
Been reading this thread with great interest, and would like to say hello as a fellow 205 owner.
We have had six GTi's in the family in the past few years:
Black 1.6 (broken for parts)
Black 1.9
Grey 1.6
White 1.6 (broken for parts)
Red 1.9 GTi - my current daily runaround
205 1.6 GTi rally car
My daily driver is the best car I have ever bought in my life! It's a 1.9, in red, with the worst paintwork you've ever seen. Every panel is a different colour, and the front bumper is barely hanging on.
However, it has to be the most rewarding car I've ever driven....... Hands down, it is THE best FWD car I have ever driven. The feedback is awesome, and the steering response - wow!

I dont know the car owners, but have seen their name about before - my uncle used to rally Chevettes years back with Ken Skidmore and the gang. so I tend to keep an eye on rally classes
