That was the other option, to go for a pukker TMIC, as i'm a bit concerned about the extra lag etc.

Either MRT or APS TMIC

- or -

HKS or Trust FMIC

Really undecided atm

Well, I think you'll find whatever you decide, you'll wonder about a different make. I've thought a few times about it...but the results I've got, means the APS TMIC is really working (with waterspray)...

Good luck bloke.

PS Hurry up fitting the TD05, then turbo K might actually do something...

PS How many jets did you use with your auto spray?

I ended up with 4, due to an IC splitter...I've got the STi7 jets, which cover the thing in water...but it also covers parts of the under bonnet with lime scale.

I used 4 as well, because of the splitter on mine as well, but i tried some misting jets instead, which give off a much finer spray than any of the sti items IMHO.

I also had a pressure sensitive switch made up for me, so it sprays @ a certain boost

Cool

I'm using the Dawes pressure switch...it's mechanical, but it works...the pressure it switches on at varies slightly but in all it's ace.

Did you notice any difference with the fine mist jets? I know the STi7's are like big garden hose pointing at your IC...soaking it...turns the car into a sinking boat.

yeah they tend not to give the 'soaking sinking effect'

You'll laugh when i tell you that they are 'Micro Jets' made by Hozelock LOL, but they are descreet, neat and do a stirling job (i'm a bit fussy when it come to the tidyness of the engine bay etc) - not like kenneth lol

lol

Don't say you used some of Mr K's fish tank parts to tidy up the waterspray pipes...

Don't think Ken's engine bay has ever seen a clean rag...but I do like his 'plumbin'...let it all hang out.

Have you had any of those fine jets block up yet? Or do you filter all the water used?

Nope, my engine bay is a 'fish free zone'

These jets can be taken apart and cleaned as well, and they are 100% plastic so there are no metal parts to scale and clog up.

If i had a digi camera i'd take some photos for you

Hmm, they sound really good.

If your engine bay is as clean as you say it is, I bet you don't let turbo Ken's grease-n-muck fingers touch it.

Oh, how much blow-by do you get? Does the oil catch tank fill up much? I know they're a good idea as it stops the oil mist causing running problems.

Picture of jets for you

'part no: 2728 Mister Microjet produces a fine concentrated mist (pack of 6)'

Cost LOL £3.79.

I think ken's too scared to touch my engine bay <lol he says it's too neat>

I used clear breather pipes (with internal braiding) so i can see when i get blow by, so far nothing which is nice

Just goes to show the STi7 jets are a rip off.

Best you keep Mr Turbo away from your engine bay...he'll only start pullin out wires and install a full size fish tank..with live fish...for your IC!

No blow by on a Scub? Thought all scoober's had some. I know mine has some...not much, but enough to see it on the crankcase pipes.

Good case for having a catch tank then...

I'd also like the option of having a tank which allows you to monitor blow by...with higher boost, it would be another thing to help monitor engine condition.
