it worked out to be a disaster. There I was, a single, carefree, stunningly goodlooking man about town with money to burn living the high life.
Now I am shacked up with some bird I met off the net. Oh the shame of it
Or to put it another way - yes, it has worked out well for me. I used the site on and off for about 8 months. Had quite a few dates, mostly enjoyable. A lot were one-offs but some lasted a bit longer. I only met 2 psycho hell-bitches, one of whom stalked me for 2 months!
I found it a great way to meet some really nice girls. Constantly amazed at how gorgeous and "normal" they were (particularly the one I am now living with )
Just treat it as a bit of fun. All the site can do is get you that first date, after that it's up to you. But it does work well.
Good luck (and if you end up meeting any girls from Bucks - be nice as one of them could be my sister!)

Steve

How many dates did you go on? How long did it take for you to see some results?

I probably went on about a dozen dates. It took about a month before I went on the first date. It takes a while to get your profile right and learn how to write a decent message. The first date went really well and I ended up seeing the girl for several weeks. The next few were one offs. Then I went out with a girl for about 2 months (she became the stalker when it didnt work out). Then a couple more one offs and bingo.
You need to be patient and give it time. It certainly doesnt work for everyone but its worth a shot.

Not sure if the question was directed at me, so I'll keep it short and say similar to what Steve said.

Except minus the stalker!

There was one who said she was average size....and turned out to be the size of a house. Honestly!

Yes, I agree with you about having to work on the message - I reckon mine is pretty cr@ppy. It sounds a bit boring. I still have to wait for my photo to go up - it says it can take up to 72 hours. I'll probably have to sort out a better photo aswell.

I've sent a message already! No reply yet though...

I havent been on it for a while now, but assuming it is still basically the same, the favourites bit was pretty cool as you could put someone on your list of favouites, if they then added you to their favourites you knew you were in with a chance. Anyway, best of luck.

Never been on an internet date strictly speaking - but I'd definitely advise meeting in a public place first with no chance of them following you home.

A (male) friend of mine 'met' someone in a chat room and then 4 weeks later met her for the first time at the check in desk at Heathrow airport to fly off for a weeks holiday with her! Now that's brave/ barking! All seemed to work out OK though - they're still friends but there was nothing more than that.
