Air Freshener Shaped Building in London
#32
The story is that the building is actually in a bit of trouble. Having finished it, it appears to have sunk by a few cm's. Also one or two of the diamond shaped windows have popped out and fallen to earth.
The reasons for the above is that the diamond shaped glass panels seem to be heavier than orignaly calculated causing the thing to swell in the middle, and thats before they have got any people or desks /pcs etc in it. As a result of the swelling the glass has come lose and they are re sealing it all. The extra weight has moved the massive foundations a small amount, in engineering terms its akin to the Tower of Pisa...
Its owned by Swiss Re, an insurance firm luckily for them ! See what your car insurance premiums buy these days.

Was doing a job for Lloyds over the week-end and managed to blag a parking space, cause of the heavy equipment I was carrying at the time.
And................I also personally know the Chairman of Lloyds, which helps somewhat.
