Inter-club Karting Duel.....
Jon,
If you're considering a 2 stroke 100cc kart, try a 125cc gearbox kart first.
I thought 100cc karts were amazing, totally different from hire karts I'd tried before. Then I had a go in a 125cc gearbox and was gobsmacked.
Power delivery is awesome, and with 6/sp sequential gearbox, you do feel a bit like a touring car driver. Handling is quite different with disc brakes up front aswell.
They're a bit more expensive to buy, but maintenance is cheaper (engine rebuild after 50hours, instead of 2 hours).
The downside? Bruised ribs!
I bought one a few months ago, and the scoob just ain't the same anymore...
Cheers,
Andy

There were only a few replies from the RS girls, so I gave up. However, if Ander's one should get off the ground at Buckmore Park, then I am sure I can get together a posse of RS owners to attend, so we will still get a chance to kick your butts...

Haven't been over to 22b.com.bbs yet so am unsure of the set up. However, I have raced at Buckmore Park and it is excellent. A very fast track when using 100cc karts (80+mph) and very twisty at the bottom end
Not sure if these are available to hire but the twin engined karts do 60+mph and have a centrifugal clutch so they don't stall
