RSOC Track Day ~ Croft ~ June 2003
Ok Robbo,
Look for the lary white Sapph with the blue zebra stripes.
Suggestions for mounting: Front passenger window or middle of rear screen pointing down with end resting on top of rear seat shooting through between front seats - pop over for demo! They really are the business.
Remember this tip though - turn OFF any auto focus type function and set manual focus to long distance, otherwise your wipers will look exceptional with a fuzzy blur of everything else!

Yep was a brilliant show - big thanks to Derby and Durham RSOC Groups.
Just wish I had managed to get more than 1 full session on track though
plus 4 aborted ones......all because of a bloody temp sensor giving up!! By the time we got back home last night and got cars unloaded off trailers and emptied them - it was 11.45pm.
Am knackered today!

Fantastic day!!!
great to get my golf out on track, never used it before so didnt know if it would last!
only used a drop of oil after 105 miles of hamering on track.
nice to see some familiar faces.
had a great session with the red and white 205's while we dogged a fast in a straight line superchared mini, but he wouldnt let us passed on the straights but we were all over him in the corners, it was like hot hatch racing LOL
anyway once we got passed we left the expensive mini behind in our bangers....LOL
see ya all again!

Thanks for letting us join your day. Enjoyed the stands and car displays as well, some mint cars on show.
Only went grass tracking once (can't have been trying hard enough) and was struggling to shake of the maroon Clio. Hope it was a 172 or something like !!!
Car was overboosting badly by 4pm, think it was oil in the intercooler/boost pipework, gave it aliberal dose of brake cleaner and all seems well, now.
Top day,
Cheers,
Neil.

Hi, Alpina,
sorry for the late reply but just got back from hols.
Got about 45 mins of footage and then the battery gave out !!
Thanks for the tips on setting it up BTW.
The spin on the start of my 2nd???!!!! lap is quite impressive !
Maybe this was why the Clio was hard to shake off
Thanks for a great day lads and will look forward to the next one,
Cheers,
Neil.

Nice to know the footage came out well - something to show the grandchildren in years to come!!
Sold my cossie now, and have replaced it with a Grey R32GTR Skyline - keep an eye out on future track days for me.
Next one I'm at will be Trax at Silverstone in September
Cheers
