well we left it too late, cant see us boinging back up, shame really after 10 years. Still was nice to get 6points of the chelscum and helping to fluff the gooners chances of winning the prem when they couldnt beat us at the beginning of the season

Now it should be fun over the summer to see who asks for a transfer,atleast we know Jermaine wants to leave,good call putting a transfer request the next day after we are relegated

 

I was sad to see the Hammers go down. But hopefully Pompey can benefit from it by picking up some of the 'want aways' e.g. Di Canio.

Also a bit of payback for the early 90's when they sneaked past us at the end of the season to take 2nd spot and automatic promotion to the Premiership, and we went out in the first round of the playoffs. Swindon went up after finishing 12 points behind us! [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Not to mention the way they treated Harry Redknapp & Co.

Actually, I've just decided I'm glad they've gone down.

Good to meet up, hopefully next time will be under happier circumstances. I ended up in the Cricketers slightly worse for wear.

Wait til Harry gets his hands on the transfer pot, then you will see him open a couple more resteraunts in Bournemouth. I will be very suprised if you stay up looking at the players that Harry is thinking of signing. Would be more than willing to let you have Terence Brown on a free though!

On a similar point I will be very suprised if we go up looking at the amount of players that will probably want away to try to further their England careers.

Hmmmm, very easy to predict that a newly promoted team will go straight back down, isn't it?

Who would have predicted the Hammers going down before the start of this season (apart from their own fans )?

We already have a couple of useful players at Pompey, but at the moment we seem to be linked with every old git who is out of contract. Let's just wait and see what magic Harry can work in the transfer market over the summer...

Also, Fratton Park can be a very intimidating place to go, a lot of these 'superstars' are used to playing in big, open stadia - they wont like feeling the fans breathing down their necks at all!
