I'll bounce this up as it's a smart looker.

Good luck with the sale.

Hey Demirda, I heard the cars only a 320i, with a 2.5 lump bunged in, and thats its also very tappety, needs paintwork, wheels need refurbing, and the bumper is cracked, is this true?

Faslki, You are correct mate... I was one of the first people to view this car and thought exactly the same thing. The bumper is beyond repair, the engine was very tappety, although this is common on these as they have long valves, the paintwork needed A LOT of sorting - front bumper needed replacing, door handles needed work, spoiler needed sorting, bootlid was scratched up, wheels needed refurbing (although they looked huuuuuuge on the car!) To be honest, having test drove it, and having owned a few 325i's before, as well as M3's etc, it didn't even feel like a 2.5, more like 2.0. It was originally a 320i and was so called converted (Brian Harvey probably blew it up), but there was no history, no receipts, invoices - nothing to prove it. I spoke to PSG who fitted the kit and the guy said Brian H was a pr1ck and neglected the car, and had been back a number of times to have body repairs done were he had stacked it.

I walked away - personally thought it was worth about 4k - oh yeah, had a manual hood as well!!

I dont mean to ruin his chances of selling the car as he was a very nice chap, but seeing a BTTT for the last 4 weeks is beginning to do my nut in. I dont think anyone on Scoobynet wants it so.....

Thats the god honest truth... IMO, the car would need half of it painting again..... and as we are seeing in this instance, it would be a problem to sell on as the car has barely any history etc.... I reckon if it were to have FSH and had the original engine, I would've given him 6k...., knowing that I would have to spend a least a grand to get it looking 'Pristine' again.

Cheers
Chris

As far as limited editions go, 1 of approximately 5 in the country is worth its weight in gold so you get what you pay for and this is unmissable.
i bet it is

Hi All

Firstly thanks for the fantastic witch hunt, the most amusing thread I have been involved in in a long time. It was like reading comments from a bunch of sheep bleeting just because they heard the first sheep bleet. Not having seen the car yourselves you all started putting in your 2 pence worth.

Foster had the right to air his opinion because he had actually seen the car, although I think he was wrong and misrepresented the whole situation. As for the rest of you scoobs go (those that negatively commented and not all of you), It may be advisable to use your own brains to make a factual judgement before talking rubbish.

Oh.... by the way the car is now sold, bought by a BMW collector for his collection of e30 convertibles, who paid what I was asking for. Closer to buying that Mercedes SL60 AMG than I imagined.

Once again thanks for having me on this forum.

"Brian H was a pr1ck"
As if we needed anyone to tell us this. Still there could have been some coke from Ms Westbrook leftover in the boot to help justify the price
