Cool

I wondered what that thread was doing in the muppet forum. Seems to be a lot of Moderator bashing as of late Give 'em a brake guys!

I think if a thread is moved or locked, then the moderator should post on that thread giving the reasons why. It seems that a decision is made then all moderator say its not them . very difficult to ask the moderator why if they have gone into hiding . Either it was justified or not, if it was then whats the problem ?

Often that happens, but usually with an email if not on the thread.

Question

Would the forthcoming guide to mods be made public, or kept private?

If made public - everyone will twist the wording of their posts to just get in under the wire, like Have I Got News For You's "Allegedly". One cheeky post will eventually be moved, and cause a "moving the goalposts" uproar.

If kept private - all the great unwashed will constantly whine about fascism, police state, conspiracy theories, Freemasons, etc etc...

May I suggest public?

Brenden.

There will be a public one, as well as a whole load of other stuff to try and make things easier and more consistant for everyone.

Drexel,

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. Of course we bought our cars to enjoy, and I've broken a limit or two in my time, and have the tickets to prove it.

However, I'm afraid that I can't condone street racing, or racing at ludicrous speeds on public roads. Forget the legalities of it, it's just feckin' stupid and dangerous.

Although I know it's not an accurate relection of every RS or Nova driver, a mindless few have caused the majority to be tarred with the same 'boy racer/max power' brush, and I for one don't wish to see Subaru owners go the same way.

I don't want or expect anything that's been written to change your opinion, but you can't expect any sympathy when a post glamourising such behaviour is moved or deleted.

I'm afraid the only thing that the mods have done wrong is not deleting it in the first place.

First of all I wasn't looking for or expecting any sympathy from anyone. I simply wanted to know why my post had been moved and similar posts hadn't. This has been explained to me and I don't have a problem with it. I do have a problem with being called 'mindless' and 'fecking stupid'. You openly admit to having sped, and having the tickets to prove it. So what's the diffenece in breaking the speed limit on your own as opposed to when playing with another vehicle? If the road is quiet and safe, then how is it any more dangerous than breaking the speed limit on your own? I can't see the difference, and admitting to speeding then calling my actions 'fecking stupid' smacks of hypocricy to me.
