Wink

I'm not in the slightest bothered that SB isn't used by the FA, and am none too keen on anyone sharing it with us as can be witnessed in recent threads .

My point about Villa park was that the authorities there couldn't handle an explosive local derby, and shouldn't be trusted with other high pressure matches. Instances of people invading the playing area is getting far more common at Villa Park, and the ticketing fiascos there are legendary. Add that to the congested infrastructure, the local car-breaking ******* and you might begin to see my point. However I doubt it as you still have those blinkers firmly on and can't take criticism at all.

Now where were my sour grapes ,hmmmmm, tasty .

Cool

To be honest, Villa need to buck up their ideas both on and off the pitch.

For sure, the ground is a nightmare to get to when it is busy, but FFS, London is a nightmare to get in and out of without going anywhere specific! At least Villa Park is just off the M6!

Thumbs down

Villa Park is an outstanding stadium and to it`s advantage it is situated smack bang in the middle of the country just like where the national stadium should be.
Take ya blinkers off mate, its situated in the second biggest car park next to the M25 . Just ask Fulham and Chelsea fans how long it took to get home from an Fa Cup semi final on a sunday night. Even less trains run out of Birmingham than London for an evening kick off. You've been indoctrinated by that sad old duffer Ellis.

the thread was about the Villa V Blues game but for some reason you wanted to raise the issue of Villa Park being used for high profile games...as Stamford Bridge isn`t used that often for said occasions i getthe feeling you are venting your feelings of jealousy? sour grapes...
