Cool

In that case go for it! You could also try Midland Impreza, I found them to be cheaper than Grade A

Ok, finally got aroung to checking my wiring config, and found that I am missing the 'Yellow' and the 'Black/White' wires on the connector for the switch. I have a MY98 Turbo, which according to earlier posts has the required wiring. Am I the unlucky one who does that have the correct wiring, or are these two wires not relevant? I don't want to order the mirrors, only to discover I will have a wiring nightmare to add the extra wiring I need.
Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Best bet is to check with BAH as he stated the wiring was all there.

Best of Luck)

So you're MY98 has the 'Yellow' and the 'Black/White' wires? Or like mine, you don't have those two wires, and it still works?

Cool

Well

I can CATEGORICALLY STATE that the "workings" from MY97 (previous) folding mirrors DOES NOT FIT into MY99...

Just thought it'd be worth a go as I wanted to keep the outline shape the same

So, anyone want any MY97 lecky folding mirrors? DGM, no mirrory bits - £100?

Just to ressurect this thread.....

My car is a MY00 and on the mirror connector, I have 5 wires.

On the switch connector I have 7 wires, plus a second plug cable-tied to it, with 2 wires.

Do I have the necessary, or will I require more?

The diagram on page 1 isn't working, hence the question..

Mickle,

I've checked my car (MY00), and at the switch connector, I am missing the yellow and black/white wires that the new switch requires. (yours has the extra two wires)

At the mirror connectors I have the 5 wires that your diagram indicates (including the yellow and black/white)

Any ideas why I have the required wires at the mirror connectors?
but not at the switch end, as they must go somewhere????

If I plug the new switch in, will it just be a case of routing 2 new wires to meet up with the existing yellow & black/white
at the mirror end? or do they go elsewhere on route?

I'm assuming that since P1's have the two extra wires present at both ends, this is how Bob Fuller got his working....

Confusing!!!!

Strange that you have the wires at one end but not at the middle

Have you had a good look around in the centre bit? I'm guessing that the 2 wires split somewhere and go directly to the two mirrors but I've not done this mod yet myself. Need to source some sonic blue mirrors and a switch first

I thought I read somewhere that someone had put in some wires to sort out the missing ones and got it working.

On my switch there are only 7.
Attached to these 7 are another 2 which go into a smaller multi-plug, but I'm unsure what this one does. (don't think it has anything to do with the mirrors)
