For anyone going tonight, keep your eyes peeled out for a black Mini with 13x7 alloys, big white circles on the doors with crossed out number 8s in, you'll probably hear me first, so keep your ears open, can't really miss the sound of straight cut gears and a loud exhaust. I'll probably be with another very low black MIni with split rims and yellow fog lights on

Apparently the 5th when we are going, its meanstreet cruise at arena essex (thurrock services) then people are going to southend. It looks like there are going to be a busy night so make sure we get a big enough space to park all the scoobs and show these nova boys how it should be done

Hello All.
If everyone behaves themselves and purchases some food from maccy dees, (you can throw it away if you like) the police will not do anything...
if people are doing burnouts, cranking their house music to 500000db's, then its likely they will get pissed off.
at the end of the day, its about behaving sensibly.

Do you think the flamer kit is a good idea for this meet?
As has been said the police are going to be out in force especially as this is a Saturday night. Do we really need to attract attention to ourselves with such mods? Wont this lead to more interest from the police then we end up getting our cars being inspected? I for one don't wish to get examined for an illegal exhaust, even though its only a full decat they will take great pleasure in producing a ticket.
If there is going to be larking about and attention seeking then I wont be so keen on attending/hanging around. I thought this was just a meet of people with interests in scoobs and cars generally for a drive into Southend and a chit chat? If its more a show of look what I can do/what I got then this to me is going to get unwanted attention from the rozzers.
I'm not trying to be a killjoy here, just saying that do we want an evening out ruined by the police seeing things they are not impressed by and then talking to everyone?

Bravo, dont worry mate! We went down there last month (a few scooby owners and evo) and we didnt have any problems with the plod at southend. now bearing in mine is a full decat (even though the bung was in), it is still over the db limit!!
THe plod are actually ok down there. What they dont like is people with their fogs on (so make sure they are off), people with neons and any rust bucket!!
Obviously im not saying to do a flame kit right in their face! All we are doing is meeting up, going for a nice drive down to southend and then parking up and having a chat. let the nova boys admire over 30 scoobs

************** - the local police are okay, providing you don't do anything stupid.. otherwise expect the punishment.. Anwayway, I'm with you about attracting unneccessary attention.... How old is your boy..??. I promised my son (7 years old) that I will treat him out to see other scoobies, which he can't wait to see..!!

Hi OJ he is 5 and keeping him out till late will knacker him out and get me in loads of **** with his mother if she found out, and I really don't need another war with her. Its a good hours drive for me as well so he wouldn't be home till well late and would ruin Sunday with him. Taking him to the Bolney meet like last year though as he loved that.
