Sorry to hear about the speed traps,
Dunno if anyone is brave enough but my mate questioned his speeding fine and wrote back to them straight away, and he never heard anything since. That was about a year ago.

There was DEFFO a speed trap on the way into Southend as we got to Rayleigh (in the usual spot) and one on the way out of Rayleigh just past the Esso garage on the left..

Just to let you know I got pulled over on Saturday on the new A130, By a BMW M5 (Black) wtf was that all about. he was on me **** like flys to ****. but he let me off. Lucky for me. But beware of the Black BMW M5.

well the car is at scoobysport as we speak and they are not sure yet what the problem is they are going to try the crankcase sensor and another 1 that i cant remember tommorrow
i think i am fated not to go on a cruise to southend as my wife is 40 on the 3rd and we are off to amsterdam i dont think i can find a way out of that allthough it is a tossup betwean southend and amsterdam not
and then if you go at the beginning of june i shall be in sunny florida
july here i come the scoob should be fixed by then and i will be the leader

big thanks to Tiny for sorting this out - and the next one. LOVE IT!
Also, huge thanks to the young guy with a brand new STi8 with 200 miles on the clock that let me sit in his drivers seat to get a feel for her. HUGE RESPECT MY MAN and many thanks! Lovely car, but that bonnet scoop really is fugging MASSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers m8, I know I was a tw@t for not concentrating on my speed but it just makes me mad that I am gonna be punished the same as say 2 boy racers screaming down there who are intentionally racing for example. I made a silly honest mistake where as people purposely racing are far more dangerous IMHO yet the punishment/penalty will be the same.
There was no sign of the police at all until I went past where they were hiding. Was a stick stuck in the ground pointing up the road with the van hidden well back from the road with all lights off and no sign of any coppers. All I saw was the fluroscent Police markings on the side as I went past the van well back from the road in trees [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] I had no reaction time at all, only saw it literally as I went past it. It was just after the right hander left hander combination as you go past Rayleigh. The other annoying thing is I don't know the area at all and took a wrong turn out of Rayleigh and went down through Eastwood to the A127, if I had gone the right way out of Rayleigh onto the A127 this wouldn't even of happened
Well I will just have to wait and see now.

Glad to hear that you have the policy, at least you won't feel too much wallet strain over this. Always more depressing when a mechanic takes a big breath and utters the words 'ooww thats gonna cost ya'
Think Rhybeck is looking at buying the AA Parts and Labour policy, all I can say is that it is so worth while to have.
