No Carlos. Nom I never got to 300WHP on the original inlet pipe, I did try, but that was with another turbo. To be fair I have since changed a few things to get to about 315, so it is difficult to know what was doing what. On average it has been about 1 BHP flywheel per day this year so far in terms of improvements Need to keep the pressure on

So, on track for around 600whp by the end of the year? Should be good!

Gearbox will hold me back. Don't want a dogbox so need to stop at 450 BHP for reliability. So there is no point in speccing the engine to do any more than this except for a bit of added in reliability.

Thanks everyone.Callum thanks for the headsup. If I could get it for less than a grand and perhaps try and fit it myself I've already saved £750! Amazing how you can justify things to yourself is'nt it?
Nom,is that just artefact on the graph or does the 3"system have no torque below 2800rpm?

The bottom end of the graph is, I think, me not having my foot in the right place (ie flat on the floor ) but I do need to check this! It'll be in the logs. It is quite possible that there isn't much, no, but then the car is set up to work at above 3,500rpm anyway (the turbo starts whirling at 2k8 & is going well at 3k4, the headers really start at 4k4) as I quite like the car to be a bit sluggish in traffic anyway - it's easier to drive that way (to me!). Having said that, and if there really is absoultely no torque at the bottom, I don't find it noticeable, although it may well be simply because I have adjusted so much to where the power band is that I don't bother go anywhere below 3k if I'm thinking of moving. There is very little noticeable (when driving) difference beteen the two systems below 4k.
Will check where my foot was, though

Thanks Nom.
1)Anybody got G Forces number?
2)I notice that the STi upgraded inlet pipe is over £500.Is its design much better or is over priced?

on the classic WRX the STi intake pipe was very good quality but overpriced, the AVO/MRT was not cheap either but it was also very well made.

Hi Deep,
You're welcome to the info.

G-Force Motorsport
Tel No 01296 434084

They also have a fair bit of info on the Subaru / APS range going onto their website @ www.g-force-motorsport.co.uk

No connections with G-Force or APS...etc and I have not even fitted my FMIC yet as I have a few associated items I want to source and fit at the same time, mainly catch tank & large inlet pipe.

FWIW Samco assure me that they have solved the collapsing problem & fitting issue with their STi 02 inlet pipe so it may be worth a try.

Deep,
Have seen a couple of threads about the mods you have done.
Would be interesting to compare our to cars to see the effects from the different routes we have taken to get more power from STI7's.
So far,and no more because looking for a new car.

Scoobysport full system inc uppipe and full-decat.
APS cold air
APS B/O Valve
APS SR40 Turbo
Dawes Device
Unichip
Fuel Pump.

Last time on rollers had 350bhp at 1.2bar now running 1.35bar.

Let me know.

Grant.

Hi Grant.350 BHP is very good and as you said you are now running more boost.I was logged at 325 BHP at 1 bar boost. Now running 1.25 and soon to be 1.35ish.I d'ont know much about your turbo though.Jonno is organising a RR at PE.See if you can make it to that,it would be nice to make that a bit of a STi7 day.
btw what are you thinking of buying?
