Not a stupid Question
If your son is under 14 I believe he is free
If he is over then he gets charged Non members rate which is only 50p more
Email me direct if you need more clarification

Just to ensure everybody is clear re what is required for the Track Sessions
Track Time In Brief:
• You will need a full current driving licence
• You will need to show your driving licence at a briefing session - bring it with you
• Your car must have a current MoT and be road legal
• You will need a helmet - bring your own
• You will need to cover your arms and legs
• You will need to tape up your headlights
• You will need to keep your side windows up
• If you spin or drive dangerously, you will be removed from the circuit and refused any further track time
Personal Safety:
1. All drivers must attend a track time briefing prior to their session(s)
No briefing - No wristband track pass - No track session!
2. Drivers with multiple sessions booked need only to attend one briefing session for their allocated sessions
3. All drivers must sign the customary indemnity
4. Helmets are mandatory for all drivers. You will need to organise your own, although Castle Combe have a limited number available for hire for £2 per session with a £20 refundable deposit. Helmet straps are to be securely done up.
5. All drivers must hold a current licence and must show that licence at the briefing
6. All drivers must have arms & legs covered i.e no shorts or short sleeved T-shirts
7. Passengers are allowed in the front seats only amd MUST be over 12 years old AND measure over 5'2'' AND have a signed letter of
authority and disclaimer from a parent or guardian if under 18 years old
Vehicle Details:
1. Tyre pressure may be increased by 12 p.s.i. per tyre if you wish (there is no facility to do this within Castle Combe)
2. Do NOT overfill petrol tanks
3. Seat belts MUST be worn
4. Your car needs to be suitable for driving on the road (i.e ROAD LEGAL)
5. No slick tyres allowed
6. No in-car video cameras allowed, however fixed or held
7. Oil, water and fuel levels should be checked prior to each session
8. Headlights must be covered with tape (gaffer, duck tape etc)
9. The maximum sound level for your vehicle is 100dB running at 4500rpm and measured at 45 deg, half a metre from your exhaust outlet.
(Most road cars will easily pass this)
10. For your own interest you should ensure that your car is adequately protected by insurance. A normal private car motor insurance policy usually excludes circuit driving. However, you can organise special track time insurance with Competition Car Insurance

For anyone that is staying down there for more than one day, there are a LOAD of us staying in Bristol (I'm moving there this month and currently have several staying at mine including Trouser, Paul N P etc.) so try and get accomodation in Bristol so we can go for some beers etc! (I have NUMEROUS attractive single female friends that live there
)
Castle Coombe is about a 20 - 30 minute drive from Bristol.
I'm also thinking of arranging a blast across either south wales or exmoor. Would anyone be interested in that also?

Drexel,
Last time I went on the circuit at Castle Combe my car was 98 dB with full Scoobysports decat. Nozzers P1 failed though and he had to fit his old exhaust. Can't remember if it was the BB or centre section he fitted and then it passed. Think he also had a full Scoobysports decat!
Cheers Phill C

Anyone know why the SIDC website doesn't seem to be working?
When I click "add to cart" I simply get a message saying your cart is empty.
I'm not a member of SIDC and have tried to join through the website, but get exactly the same response when I click "add to cart".
Am I being a complete spazzhead or is there something wrong?
Cheers
Simon
