sorry to say this but you sound thick. I mean who in the right mind tells you to buy another car or she will leave you. ok i agree if you are finding it hard to cope because it costs so much to run and a small cheaper car would be better, but you are going to a more expensive car????? which you said you couldnt afford to run. i cant understand you - i think you need help

of course you sound as though you have been bitten by love bug and are not feeling o.k. Now your woman has left i think you are a fool for listening to her, she really ****ed your head up.

IS THIS A **** TAKE? i hope it is because you would be pretty thick to do what you did.

IMHO!

---------------------------------------------------------------

Im 30 and she was alot younger !!!!! yes it is the truth sad as it is but i think im gonna take the RX7 and have the time of my life spinning it everywhere. I may even wait out side the school gates one night so she sees im loving it.

I had an 820 Turbo and for 800 quid (K Reg) it was great !

Black leather Recaros and it went well as I used a mod involving a fish tank valve (Cost 2 quid) and did outdrag a moving Scoob (my mates Terzo) until a corner (or any kind of standing start as I feared for the gearbox), did 20k in it without a problem, Stop being such bloody snobs !

Edam

The Rover is a well known ***** magnet but a little help would not go amiss, just imagine the envoius looks form the first formers as you pull up outside the school gates to pick up Trudy or 'chelle in your Max P'd Rover beast.

I say 'slam' the rover!
NEON!
Flamer kit
Swap that wood for fake carbon fibre
put it on 25's with 10 series rubber, must be chromed wheels
Goodmans ICE!
M3 mirrors - ideally ripped off of an M3
HUGE bonnet scoop, the sort you need a periscope to see around.
Tinted windows, this can be achieved easily by setting fire to the inside of the car, do not forget to put it out before driving off mind.

Next to this an RX 7 will pale into insignificance.

Vin Diesel will have as much appeal and a teletubby!

You will be the daddy.

Pay this edam fool no heed, he is trying (and failing miserably) to pretend he is infact me, with a few key differences.

Firstly, my girlfriend never said she'd leave me as relates to any motor vehical, young Edam is simply getting his hopes up. See, he wants me for himself, and dreams up these crazy stories thinking it will bring us closer together.
Sadly, he is wrong (althou I have to admit feeling strangely atracted to someone who can concoct such a wild stroy, but no! i must resist!)

Secondly, I can afford two RX7's if I wanted, but opted against it as there isnt much parking room where I live, and the old dears would get their blue rinse in a mess if they saw two such sexy cars (lets just say I wont have any problems getting some "prune juice" on demand, baby).

Thirdly........the Rover. These cars are perfectly respectable modes of transport. Sure, the exhaust has rusted away and blows out the side of the car, making it difficult to go through drive throughs without choking the attendants, but thats a minor fault, I get to see if the car is burning oil simply by looking out of my drivers side window, instead of having to go to the back of the car, as people with these so called "normal" cars have to.
Its also the fastback edition, and when Rover say "fast" they mean it!! Lets just say the thrust into the seat is quite something, a feeling drivers of hairdresser cars like Elises would never know.
Comfort levels on this almost top of the range Si are also very good. The windows beep as you electronically operate them upwards.....then downwards. Yes, you read that right "electronically". Impressed? thought so.
So lets stop calling it a shed etc, as I think ive made it clear it is closer to a pure bred race car than garden shed, although I have found it useful for storing a couple shovels, old carpet, and a lawnmower in.

So there you have it, I hope this will rest here now, and Edam learns a very valuable lesson about life, love, and Rovers.

If she is going to leave you anyway, you may as well take some hidden photos of her and sell them, sell her things, break into and rob her parents house, ransome thier dog etc.

Please note: all these actions are of course illegal and morally offensive, but hey your being dumped and the money you raise could fund the purchase of the RX.

Alternatively get some real babe magnet Rover Mods and drive up and down outside her house, you'll soon have her and her Mum fighting over you.

[image]http://www.geocities.com/mrjumjum/Rover.JPG[/image]

On a serious note I wouldn't get stuck with the RX if its unaffordable also if she lived with you for a while and ran up any debts she should be liable for half.

I'd look at some of the 2nd hand jap sports there are some good priced Supra's, older Rx 7s, 200sx's around, should be affordable and still look glam for the girls.

Good luck

Go for the RX7, a mate had one at 21 and was paying 6k insurance, his job picked up the bill. Keep a eye on the oil, change it regularly and get it serviced by a spicialist and it will be fine, faster then a ITR anyway, well in a straight line!!

@ sideshowbob i dont know what your on about maybe its just coincedence that you too have a high maintence woman who is about to leave you for a fitter stronger man but after all this is what these threads are all about,Helping the thick comman man aka you. So pipe and listen to the advice they are giving and i too have taken your rover mods into concideration but we still both have alot to learn about cars and women.
Please dont tell me your RX7 is in blue because its so common i just hope we both dont drive past the same school as it will hinder us both if they seem too common.

funny thread.....

i think the dog **** coloured rover is the best part, especially the nice "colour coded bumper"
painted with a stick.

thing is, there probably is someone sad enough to buy an rx7 just to keep his bird happy.

I know a few of my mates would...
