Adam, you said RA V-Ltd's dont have the R180, that statement is wrong.

Lou's car wasnt an RA, it was an STi3 V-Limited, there are V-Limited STi's and V-Limited STi RA's, i think you are getting them mixed up.

The STi3 V-Limited had the normal mechanical setup of an STi, i.e R160 diff and no DCCD.

Also while I think on, I'm having the dreaded 5th gear synchro crunching problems on my V5 Type R box, is there anything particularly unusual about this box that requires a specialist familiar with them, or will any gearbox specialist do?

Recommendations for anywhere accessible from the northwest would be useful too, thx

John, that statement is untrue you are correct, but some RA v lims do not have r180s and I said there are no hard and fast rules.

I have edited the above statement which you objected to, but only cos it was written ambiguously and was open to interpretation, I did however give you a credit !

I know of one sti 3 ra v limited that does not have an R180 or a dccd which I have regular access to which I can show you, and another which was offered to me to buy before I bought the 22B.

There is no doubt of this and it cannot be disputed.
