Prodrive Chip and a Dawes in a Pre97 MY will be very close if not already detonating. Take the dawes OFF NOW !!!!!
It will more than likley be detonating if you are running more than 15psi.

Beleive me I know from experience...increasing the boost on Pre97 Prodrive fuel/Ignition Map = Detonation.

The Prodrive map is right on the limit of Detonation. If you really have to use a dawes, use it with the standard map (pull the chip out and add a wire link to the 'J1' position on the PCB)

Although low down will not be as good or as smooth on the standard map.

Get David to drop in a remapped chip... If it's the chip I think it is (15.5psi) it should give you about 260ft/lb of torque in a UK car, with improved spool up and timing retarded in the top quarter to prevent Detonation....

Hmmm.... I seem to know alot about this subject ....

Hi,

I have read through this thread and have to ask one thing, Will I be safe putting a Dawes device on MY99 uk turbo my mods are below.

Decat Centre
SS back box
Forge DV
ITG panel filter

If I am good to go I will need to buy metres to measure stats, I want to get hold of the Metres that Sit in that middle console up on the front dash(three metre's in a row), Where can I get them from? and Where canI get a dawes supplied and fitted?

Thanks

Ryan

P.S Sorry Alan for stepping in on your topic but this looks like a good place to put my question in.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Exclamation

Alan, you and about 10 other people.. (and you werent the first!)

Get another ecu if you want.. it will cost you aprox. 16.9 times as much, not including petrol to get to wherever its fitted.

Like I said Im waiting for my supplier, theres not really much I can do is there?

Dont really give a **** if people dont believe me.

David,

Spoke to Simon yetserday about a different matter , and mentioned ScoobyECU. He said that your boards were in the last stage of assembley, so you should get them soon.

Probably better to get the 27C0128's from Alex next time...

Alex?

27C1028s?

Some about?

There's a really easy way to cut those queues, raise the price by 50%.

I would just like to thank the people that have been patient, not bugged me, yet been happy when it's done.
