suggest if you can, ask to see the condition paper as this will provide details of any body part chages/damage repairs etc..

I checked a few other WRX STi2 and it appears the rear lights didn't change to red/white until 1997. Also the interiors seem to be the same as on standard WRX imports.

If it is a STI2, then the seat should have stitched STI on it, and if it still has the original speedo face, this will also have the STI printed.. Anyway, check the vin plate as this will state the model id as mentioned in the previous responses..

Anyway, enjoy you will not regret it, that's for sure..

Do not think you are right about "STI" being shown on the original speedo.

Not on a version 2 anyway...

 

I have STI on stamp on my one.. it's a late 95 STI V2 555 model.. As this is my first scooby, I must be lucky.... the VIN plate will verify the model...
