Sometimes bad things happen to good people.

If you're lucky you can walk/run away. If you're unlucky you have to defend yourself (and loved ones).

Fortunately I have never had to use the skills , but that probably has something to do with the fact that I'm 6'1"and 16 stone . I allways try and talk things out or just walk away .

Is Bracknell still a sh1te hole? I used to live in Crowthorne and remember the days of Simpsons night club under Bentalls car park and the stabbings, shootings and general beeting ups that used to be part of everyday life in downtown Bracknell, some of you London and Manchester boys think you got it hard try living near Bracknell.

Two thoughts.
When I bang my elbow on the cd rack it hurts. So if an 18 stone bloke tw*ts you you're going down. Also been doing
Tae Kwon-Do 8 yrs but what worries me now it that I have to use tkd for self defence I might seriously hurt someone so i'd rather blag my way out of trouble.

I am doing Aikido for 2 and a half years now. Aikido can also be very effective.

(Just take a look at some movies from sensei Steven Seagal)

I used to do Sanku Kai Karate (anyone else do this style?)- hard style, very effective, as you learn how to take a dig and dish it out, never used it outside the Dojo tho.

on the Bracknell theme, I dropped into a very nice looking Pub on the outskirts a while back and narrowly escaped - bunch a complete T@ssers tried picking a fight with 4 of us - t@ssers! Bracknell aint the place to be late on a fri night!

At the risk of turning this karate thread into a Bracknell thread...

...I got pulled over in my Scoob in Bracknell. The copper let me go 'cos I'd done nothing wrong (routine check - photo ID licence v.usefull). His parting words were "if you drive in Bracknell a lot, be warned Police cars are stopping *every* Scoob they see in Bracknell because so many are stolen".

Don't just stay out of the pubs, don't leave the Scoob there either.

Jerome.

Is there any reason for actually going to Bracknell?

I think that I'll play it safe and just avoid all Bracknell pubs in general.

Thanks Mike !!!

I'm just getting myself fit to start training again.

And now we have a[nother] young lady Alex will be starting very soon.
I want him to train with Higashi , Wado Ryu or Ishin Ryu.
