I'm 20 and have a P1. No help with paying for it from anyone - all my hard earned cash.

Has to be "Young Keith P" from the Inveruire Gang IMHO

Had a great looking MY00, 17's, big rear spoiler, front lip, down pipe, etc, etc when he was 19. Sold it for a 22B and has just sold the 22B and bought a Type UK Prodrive Sti and he is still only 20...and it's all done on his own, before anyone starts

I don't see any 20 yr old beating that little lot

PS: YKP Sold the 22B cause he needed a 4 door motor.

I couldnt get insured when i was 20, only adrian flux on a uk turbo gave me a decent quote.

Turned 21 and Tesco and a few others offered me a quote. Tesco was the best on my import though.

It can be done if you have the money. An 18 year old was paying £8000 for insurance on a p1!

Cool

I think Darren (DC911) was only 19 when he got his new 22B Type UK.

Modified it into an awesome bit of kit as well.

He's also a very nice young chap.

i'd like to know how 20yr olds can afford turbos etc. How and who do you insure with, alot of people wouldnt even touch me!!! as soon as i said "subaru impreza" and "20" the phone went down

I'm 23 and bought my first Impreza (Turbo 2000) three weeks ago. Funded myself, except insurance which was paid by "daddy". But he does get driving rights now!

My mate Proby(think he posted on hear at one point) had a 93Jap WRX when he was 20, he is 25 now so it was a while ago. He's had a MGF VVC, Westfield Megablade and now Lotus Elise since the Scoob. He's just a bit into his cars as you can imagine.

Tim.

I know of a lad who had an R34 Skyline V Spec for his 17th birthday..

..was written off by a bus some months later (not his fault) and even before the claim had gone through his mummy and daddy had bought him another one
Do they wanna adopt????

Wink

Scoobs were farmers cars when i was a kid, i had the equivilent rally icon when i was 18, a MK2 Escort. Oh and a rally car too, all built and paid for by myself.

forgot to add, i earned £3000 a year back then!
