R19ket, that does look IMPREZIVE. WHat brand of internals did you use if you dont mind me asking and who did your engine rebuild. WHoever did it must be a propper engine builder not a cowboy.

LOL!

I am sure R19KET will elude to the parts and builder of his engine. In the meantime, brower the Lateral Performance parts in the scoobyshop Engine section.

Nos,

What makes you think I made the graph up ? Because it's in Excel ?

Do you actually know anything about engine dyno's ? or that they only produce raw data, not fancy RR graphs !!!

If I was going to fudge a graph, would I only make it go to 4500rpm, and exclude the torque ? I also know that there are more than just a few people who can work out my torque from the bhp anyway. Well, my torque up to 4500rpm

Said at the beginning that this was my OLD engine. Managed to snap a gudgeon pin on this one !!! So no, it won't be at WL.

Mark.

Rob,

You crack me up....... but I bet Nos would be ecstatic if got anywhere near 350bhp.

David, chill out mate, it's not worth it, but now you know why I avoided posting my figures !!!, and that's what happens when I only show up to 4500rpm

Nos,

My very messy engine bay, after a panic to get the engine back in, in time for Elvington. Pat, and I (+ some extra help)worked until 8pm on the Sat', got to the hotel in York at 2pm, and the first time I floored it, was my 1st 500m run

Edited because I forgot to thank David for the picture. Thanks David

me also want one, but they never bloody happen!

May I make a suggestion guys.

Let mark handle all the planning if you go down a similar (hopefully cheaper route). He will make sure all the bits are thought of that you wouldnt otherwise contemplate.

Get them all together and built up before you take any engines out.

As far as I can tell, mark has now got the hard work done in this country so such things should be easier for the likes of the rest of us.

And nos nova you are a muppet!

have been in this car, have watched it being built over a long period, and even passed mark the occasional spanner whilst keeping my hands clean.

You can take the p1ss all you like, but the respected members of this board all know about the the existence of this car and the validity of the graph.

Some of us know how far it climbs too

Iain,

As it happens, yes, do have some extra earthing mod's, and a few more will be going on

Richard,

David only sent me a few pics, and this was the best of them. I know a few people took pics, and it would be great if people could
email me some copies. Then I post the good ones

Mark.

Just had to giggle at the idea of Nos Nova putting his engine onto the same engine dyno Marks little project was measured on, this being the only way to get a truly reasonable comparison of the two units. I wonder if the dyno could handle the nova's stupendous talk^H^H^Horque output!

David, do you mean to tell me he didnt hand craft the whole car himself from chunks of raw material he dug from the ground using only a tooth pick and a rusty teaspoon?

goodness me, he is a complete fraud!

Nos,

Engine first went on the engine dyno Oct' 2001. This is the first thing I have ever posted on Scoobynet relating to the power I achieved. Do you REALLY think I feel the need to PROVE the figures to YOU, let alone anyone else ?

Scoobeee,

You're partly correct. Trey Cobb supplied the EJ25 closed deck block (best currently available by far) JE pistons, that unfortunately JE got wrong, and have been replaced, and the head work, and cams. Everything else was sorted over here. Cobb Tuning supply some fantastic products, and only a fool would buy an alternative, for the sake of it.

For the new engine, whilst the Cobb cams are very good, they don't do what I want them to, so they are being replaced, as are the pistons, and a lot more.

The current engine is being designed, and built, based on the results of two engine builds, three engine dyno sessions (about 6.5 days dyno time), and road testing.

People can take the graph as they want.

Mark.

david, you are the little guy with the silver wagon right???

i could probably get my nova up to 400BHP if i whack the boost up and put bigger nos jets in but it won't be reliable.

i will leave the granade tuning to you guys as it seems to be what you're good at LOL
