It's all about exposure - you've gotta expose yourself to as many women as possible. When I say 'expose', I don't mean literally expose yourself (although that has worked once or twice in the past 
), just get to meet/know as many girls as you can. If you get friendly with one girl, you should get introduced to a couple of her friends and so on.
I like astraboy's advice, pity I can't follow it and always end up groping girls and dribbling on a night out (this has also worked once or twice in the past). The more girls you come into contact with the more chance you have got of meeting someone with who you 'click'. If you keep ending up with kangorillapigs then maybe nature is trying to tell you something and you should lower your standards a tad....

Fulham, if you find the answer m8 let me know cos I can't find any decent single females anywhere either. Local pubs are just full of 16 year old school girls 
and work was full of gorgeous women all married or in long term relationships. Where else do you go to look? Bit sad joining a gym etc just to try and pull!
I definately agree with the comments about looking for it and it makes it even more difficult, and it seems if a girl finds out u r after her then the hard to get game starts and thats a nightmare that ends with her telling you u have no chance!
To be honest I have even gone down the road of looking at on-line dating agencies and there are some bloody funny profiles on there and some mightily scary ones too Funnily enough I'm not taking that route seriously 
Bottom line is too many single blokes out there and far too few single females. Total nightmare! Just imagine how fantastic it would be tho if it was the other way around

Well the nice girl i thought i had met decided to cancel dinner last night (were supposed to celebrate my birthday), and still haven't heard from her today - and it's my 30th birthday. I feel totally gutted and am beginning to loose faith i must say.
My conclusion, you can't afford to be too nice.

Cheer up Iain(and happy bday mate), just remember your'e not the only one going through it, infact there seems to be lots of people in the same boat A: in this thread and B: on scoobynet period.
I was going mental all weekend cos a girl didnt get back to me after a date, but then she did like 3 days later!(I guess I was just expecting an instant result) So I decided to chill out and not expect things to happen instantly. Since then, I havent spoken to her for 3 days but I aint worried. Everyone has different ideas about how you should play things, listen to all of their ideas, but dont take any as gospel and just do what you think is best.
and ignore anything I say, Im an amateur
