Scotland here I come
Series Landy are fine if you can do without your creature comforts, but if you like it a bit more 'modern' (not much mind you) then the Defender's are the way to go.
Pick up will be good, or hardtop then the cargo won't get wet. Don't buy white.

May I have your Jacket Please!
Hope your moving to the east coast m8 or the midges will destroy you.
Born & bred up here - lived in London for a while and could'nt wait to get back to Scotland.
I mean who would'nt like horizontal rain, slush not snow, midges, having to fly to London before you can go anywhere long haul on holidays, walking like a half shut knife cause its blowing a gale, etc.
But when the weather is good the place is superb.
Alas

I hope you get a decent Land Rover, I don't want to see any puffy Jeeps, Frontera's or other Mum's shopping trolleys parked on your drive.

It'll be a Volvo estate next
Well, we're settled in and unpacked, and loving it already. I'm currently sat in Edinburgh airport departure lounge waiting for my flight back down to work, but it's delayed because of cr@p weather down in London.
BTW, here's the view out of the back window of the house we're renting:

Obviously, though, I'd much prefer to be living in stinky ugly old London.
NOT.

It's a big raven/crow - there's a lot of them about. We did see a buzzard or some other raptor in the field the other day though.
The Golden Eagles are very rare, and you only really see 'em in the highlands (if at all).

Typical Otway - two days in the country, and he's ******* David Bellamy already.....

I have to admit - the wife & I do enjoy a little wildlife photography....

Still learning, but getting better.
