So it is fine then?
A reset should always be done when putting a new ECU in - even though it has had no power sometimes they can be rough unless you do. Can't explain why. Just reset and they are fine.

it seems to be running ok now john - as i stated above i'll give it another blat around the local roads today and see if i can get it to go funny again (but i haven't managed to replicate the problem since the reset), but i reckon its ok now tbh.
