I lease a MY00 turbo through my girlfriends company. Got the car 3.5 months ago and have since clocked up 16,000 miles. Due in for it's third service soon!!

the car was my idea (wanted one for a while), and had to convince the girlfriend that it would be a sound, practical but fun car. since getting it, she has been using it for business quite a bit, and is doing approx 600 miles a week. Needless to say, it's now a race to the car to see who gets to drive it.

I don't think she could believe the following in terms of people waving and passing comments in the street. It may cost a bit more than another car, but then again, it's more than any other car, for the money.

Couldn't recommend one more. Should get about 30-32 mpg on motorway, at approx 80-85. Goes down on a smiles per mile basis. The more fun, the more petrol.

Enjoy!

I am interested in possibly leasing. Please can you give me details of your girlfriend's company. Would I get a good rate?

Leasing is not such a good idea at the minute. Most leasing companies lost loads of cash on business they wrote in '97 & '98 and they are now trying to recoup their losses by charging crazy prices (esp. for Impreza's) on new business. Still has the advantage of not having to worry about disposal though, but you pay for that privelege over the 3 years.

As a guide Lex are quoting £502.00 + VAT per month based on 3 months deposit + 33 more rental payments. Assumes 20K miles p.a. and routine servicing, but NO mods or extras.

Probably not such a good idea then if I am going to do about 25,000 miles per year. This is going to cost me enough as it is.

My Girlfriend drives my car to work. She loves it and drives like Colin Mcrea(according to one of her mates ) when im not in it .

She says the only thing she notices is that people try and "ave a go" at lights and roundabouts... so she likes to blow them away. Be prepared for upsetting a few men in this way...

I think you'd enjoy one - if you can afford it!!!

I have no problem with upsetting men. I would relish the idea of getting challenges from little boys in their 1.2 Novas/Corsa SRis. I can't wait for the fun to begin!!!

Excellent another Girlie on board!

I have a list of one liners I use when gentlemen come out with witty (if that's at all possible) comments about my mode of transport - unfortunately all involve disgusting language so I can't tell you them.

It's amazing what a nice smile to a policeman in an unmarked car can get you off with (i.e. doing 75 in a 40 zone and he never booked me). I've seen him 4 times on the same road since my encounter with him - and now he waves!

How ridiculous is that???

The scooby is a drivers car which requires a modicum of hand eye coordination not too mention spatial awareness!!!!
