Agreed, no logic to many of the choices.

Ireland isnt part of the British Isles, it is its own country, saw Bono listed in the Telegraph on Saturday and asked the question, WTF he's Irish, so many people that voted for him assumed incorrectly and the BBC researchers missed it, personally Churchill and Steven Hawking, but the list has many many legends on it, funniest of the top 100 Robbie Williams talk about not worthy.

I had always believed the British Isles to include Ireland. It being distinct of course from Great Britain.

A quick google brings up the following definitions

"The British Isles, by definition, comprises the countries of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands."

"The expression "British Islands" has been defined in the Interpretation Act 1978 as meaning the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The Republic of Ireland is not included in this definition being outside the United Kingdom."

So take your pick

to answer why all the "luvies" are in their...one word....MEDIA.

as proven by Miss Media herself...Dead Diana. (nb. she has to be dead to be in this list cause if she wasnt she'd be living on a yacht with dodi and not the "saint" we know today.)

if you hype someone up enough you can make people morn, vote, hate, attack anyone you chose.

if the press wanted to they could get ant and dc into westminster such is their power and the publics stupidity.

many ppl nowadays shun the church and organised religion but thousands of years of following a greater being like a retarded sheep do not rub of easily. hence building stonehenge and praying to the sun gets replaced by building pop idol and reading The Sun.
