Mark, when i get the section fitted would it be ok if u were there aswell? seeing as i know next to f*ck all about scoob engines i was wondering if you`d have a listen to mine just to see if there`s any noises there shouldn`t be etc.

Cheers

good to see everyone who attended enjoyed themselves and shared and gained knowledge from others.

i propose we keep to the same venue for next month parking is safe and the lights show off

marks red car (although many people think its orange)

midlifes highly polished car (you can do mine next month)

daves biggest rear spoiler in the world

varied scooby logos on numberplates

it also give us a chance at the end to look and listern to mikes trumpet (he claims its a dump valve) and its rumoured that it set off car and house alarms in a 12 mile radias of the city.

i think at the moment we should keep on with the RAID thread as a central chit-chat point, untill we are kicked off !!so many of the smaller threads seem to die off but with 22 pages and 5500 hits it will get noticed by potential new members.

with a nine car turnout and a couple of apolgies it was an encouraging start for us and if everyone of us could roap in just one new scoob our turnout would double!!

I think a name should be thought up for the group the obvious one is

CUMBRIAN SCOOBYS ***

any more suggestions?

im not a computer wizz- kid but if anyone of you could do a basic web-page that would be fab>
the tyne tees site looks the part.
do you think we should approach True Grip with a contact number and advertise a monthly meet?

if each one of us could suggest one thing we would like to do on here RUNS_RUNS_RUNS etc we could try to put together a calander of events eg visits talks .

we allready have marks run pencilled in and i; heard ;dave was doing one as well the RAIDERS REVENGE will probably not be untill april -may time and midlife was planning a route to TSL at Nottingham!!

i like the idea when the longer nights come of mini-runs for the monthly meets and if only 5-6 can do one that take up 6 months events.

i look forward to your comments as im off to pack now for my drinking binge in Ireland!!

Lordharding,
Great to see that things are happening on the other side of the country. You will find it amazing how quickly things can escalate.
Thanks for the mention of the WWW.Tyneteesscoobies.com Website. It was great fun making it and it is a long way from being finished.
Feel free to take any ideas from it that you want.
Well done, Keep it up.
Hoping to see you in the TTS area soon.

all the scoobs unite one hot summers day

can we turn that dream into reality?

John,

What do you want from the website - buying a domain and webspace is easy but then you have ftp access issues for adding content and making changes - who has this?, one person or more?...if it's one, they have to do all the work, if it is more than one then you have security issues, etc.

It's my game but that does not necessarily mean I will be the best at it so feel free to ask advice but also ask around.

Sorry I could not be there, Cumbrian Scoobys gets my vote, even if I am in Lancaster!

you are also planning cumbrian scoobs OFF ROAD COURSE to be held next year!

Lordharding,
I think I can speak for the rest of the Tyne Tees Scoobies in saying that we would be up for a Northern Big One.
Lets make it so.

Lordy, would we be able to do this legally or you thinking of 'one mad turnout'?
If the first, then i'll post it, but, if its the latter tell me to email it!!!
I think i know of a site that would include driving round a dodgy course and have the space to do bbq's etc, mate we could get proper catering, garages, stalls n everything
how many of us 'up northers' do you think would turn up?
if interested, get all the scottish scoobies to come down as well
man, im on one now
time for my tablets!!

hi flossy shame you missed the ist cumbrian scoobs pub meet ,basically 2nd wed of the month at the turf inn carlisle untill we get the full calander of events planned !!!!

naughty sounds good as we would need a southern cumbrian or north lancashire site to get the manchester-lancs -yorkshire boys whipped up!!i would like to base it on the big one at nottingham last year with 230 scoobs turned up.
allready this is gaining momentum with the tyn-tees boys excited by the idea.

we would need to do this legally but i like the idea of a dodgy run as a bonus!!

well im off to dublin for a well earned drinking binge with the lads for a few days but my map-pen and notebook are there with me(when im sober )

see you later fellow RAIDERS ***********8

Lordy and all

About the name thing..I tried to get "lakeland" in somewhere to widen the geography but could't get it to fit in.

I also tried to fit in Sophie Ellis-Bextor, it fitted quite well actually!!

I also use the term "Scoobs" for a gathering of Imprezas, I don't know what other people use...."pants-wetting" ??

So I guess "Cumbria" and "Scoobs" in the names gets my vote.

Midlife...
PS

I actually had some non-Tarty mods done today at TSL :cool. Suspension(Eibachs and geometry) and De-cat the section just under the drivers seat. Unfortunately I am now saving up for one of the supreme tart car mods.....black pimp tints!!

Abbylad

My Dental technician, who is into this sort of thing in a big way, has told me that Peter Tyson has the reputation here in carlisle as being "the best" at supplying seriously upmarket Hi-Fi, TV's, DVD's, a theatre in your front room etc...

They are not cowboys but believe they are quite expensive...
