Them other RB5 owners are a bit gullable believing I really had two, even though I pulled a face

I'm always surplus to requirements but hey, who cares

Are you on night shift or just an imsomniac like me?

I used to work shifts when I was a driver for Royal Mail in Aberdeen, totally screws you up, that and working 80 hour weeks

I've been 9-5 for the last three years but still can't sleep right. Still, got broadband to play with

Suppose I had better turn in - look forward to seeing everyone again on the 11th

to convert km to miles take then mileage and divide it by .62

62miles/0.62 = 100km

that mean more time to talk scoobies

Hi all

Enjoyed the run on Sunday, sorry for the early departure but the youg'un was getting restless..!!
Although once we left he said he wanted to listen to those exhausts some more. You can't win with kids!

Lordy, Good job with the organising and good route, cheers,

Rusty, good job with the pictures and to reply to your post in 'Sport for a Turbo' yes I need to do some saving but I think I may have to go for a Fugly I thought they all looked excellent on Sunday.

Bry,

What age/mileage is your Sport? I would be interested in how much you get offered for it but suspect yours is younger with lower mileage than mine

You should get a good trade in for a MY01 or MY02 as they have dropped by about £3k due to the face lift of the MY03 but the depreciation will also have passed on to our Sports too

Looks like I will be the only one with a Sport at this rate
Cheers, Jon

It's a 01 Y Plate with 20K so far.

Don't worry about being the only Sport I need to save for a while yet.

John you may amend all head red sheds to read the car that never gets dirty, whatever the weather.cheers for a good run, next time well bin Crafts limiter and fit a terra trip thats a rally type thingy we use) and yes i was going slow sometimes as my passenger had altitude sickness.

not many folks down here will do the trip up nth even if it is sunnny but we will persuade our debonair leader aka Craft (play the Shaft film music to set the seen) to set a dales run out once the weather improves.300 bhp and snow dont mix unless its somebody elses car.

regards MDM ( Craft's understudy)

Thankx for coming on the "raid", like you I had to get back hoe for the kids.

I hear you had an Astra GTE...Fond memories....., I had a couple but torque steer, thieves etc....

Listening to the News tonight (Gordon Brown) made me pause for a while. I am heavily in debt(who isn't these days, divorce etc).... borrowing for your MY01 / MY02 Fugly might be tricky. maybe best to wait until prices of Fugly's like mine hit serious rock bottom and in the meantime REVEL in classsic shape Scoob.

I have been shamed several times by older scoobs in mid-gear acceleration so if fun is what you want then a Fugly may not be what you want.

midlife you cant be tempted to a classic after spending £000s to make your fugly really flash !
what you need to do is loosen up the scoob on the RAID full tour (what about 25 dec roads should be quite then!)
you cant take money with you and when i have a stressfull day a good blast in the scoob makes me forget all the pressures we have to face every day, maybe we should give out scoobs on the NHS> or free optimax on prescription.

Lordy

I actually like the Classic over the Fugly for pure aesthetics, The Fugly just looks so ....well.....Scary for grannies driving Micra's and is the one for me (midlife crisis 'n all).

I have been left beheind on several occasions by classics 'cos they seem to accelerate faster. Also the Bank would not lend money on a Classic. They wanted me to get a new car so if anything went pants they could re-posess newer metal.

I actually bought the Fugly without sitting in one..I logged onto Scooby net and within a few weeks ordered an Import from Well Lane in Batley.

The power of the web.

The point of the post was that all Scoobs look cool compared to most cars and be wary over borrowing money at the moment as Gordon Brown is going to have to claw back 20 billion borowing from somebody quite soon and if we walk into Saddam'a back yard then a shed load more.

See you at the Turf...

can I bring the Family?

Red face

yeah know what you mean
i think next year we will go into recession again , it is just a 5-7 year pattern cycle; recessions are ok when you have money as everything gets cheaper to purchase as retailers have to reduce margins to survive which means i will get lexus style rear lights for under £2oo !! just wish % rates would go up as i can remember 11% now struggel too get 4.5% anyware.

Boring buisness mode switched off

yes fetch your family as my mrs gets bored talking about scoobs all night and likes things like gardening hoovering etc!

Lordy

I'll bring the lot along with me to the Turf....There's serious debate in the Midlife household about a cream leather suite.

MIDLIFE thinks..Eibach springs, TSL geometry setup, ECU, 18" wheels

LAURA thinks....Cream leather suite, nice watch, Livingwell Skinny Latte.

Four year old girl just wants a sparkly pink badge like Bobmac.

See you all there

Midlife....
