Vote - Old look, BugEye or *New* 2003 BlobEye
#33
The 22b has got to be the daddy on any list. It has the ultimate looks followed by STI Type R and P1.
The bug eye looks like a Ford Scorpio/Chrysler Neon and is a little lardy which is why they are having to change it back to something half reasonable. We will have to see when the 'blobby' appears in the flesh whether it takes the marque forward.
STI 5 Type R..........soooooo biased!

22b (sti ?)
Current RB5
Waiting to see 03 Sti in the metal as I normally chage after 2 years - nearly bought UK300 when they were out but new the STi 7 was on the way.
Will there be a 03 Limited edition version with the Rally car shell and spilers Equivelent to 22b. That would be nice !!![}]

I think I,m sensing a pattern here !
People prefer what they already have until they change it for a newer model in which case they obviously prefer that.
You should be posting this thread on the EVO site at least you'd get a less biased opinion from people with a similar taste in motors.
Ian.

That is what I wanted to see when I started this thread It only makes sense though. In most cases, unless there are financial issues, one will buy the car they like most, no ?
So essentially I have proven a theory that we all know to be true:
Who gives a rats *** what people think about your car once YOU like it
Cheers,
Ray

BTW Raz,
I would buy a Scoob that looked like the 22B if it had the weight of the 22B, the build quality and interior of the STi7, the drivetrain and brakes of the 7 with the quick rack steering of the 22b/TypeR/RA.
Does that answer you question?
Matt
[Edited to add that I'd like the 22b/R/RA centre electronic diff with adjuster also ]

bugeye not that bad, but tooooo slow - no go. classic had that surg of raw power, basic but fast. now hopefully the blobeye will have that extra surge of power that the wrx bugeye failed on ,but with the new look to go with it.if the new bhp ratings are correct it seems that it might be quite good.
at the moment the "CLASSIC"

Now for subtlety-loving people like me (ex-DBM MY99 5dr UK Turbo) I have to say the new 5dr is tempting... bug-eye didn't get a look in, I'm so much of a fashion victim
For looks alone, classic 5dr Turbo/STI. For ability too, I'd have to go with the MY03.

I VOTE BLOBEYE!!!
I think alot of people here would still be lighting fires using sticks the way they won't change, they bang on about the classic shape.....like that ever looked really any good.......
Join the 21st century people and stop living in the 80s with your mullett haircuts!! HAHAHAHAHAHA
Remember one day soon the 'oldest' swinger in town will be driving a 'classic' shape Impreza
