Been away on business, sorry for the delay - I would sell for 450, and as for registering...it would take as long as it would take for DVLA to do their side of things !

What i meant was - is there a time limit i have until i have 2 register the pl8 ?

I have just sold our car and am waiting for the right scoobs 2 replace it with !

You have a year to put the number on a car after it was retained but after that it only costs £25 to keep it on the certificate per year so at the most it will cost you £25. (surely you can find a straight one in a year!!)

As already said, it's on retention, paid, and that will run until about July of this year (at a guess) - then it's either on a car, or 25 to be paid.

Just to advise you can extend the Retention Certificate for 1 year [£25]

You lose the plate after that

As for time to transfer mine took 6 days once the paper work is with your local DVLA

You can extend the retention for as long as you want @ £25 per year

Unless the regs have changed this year retn certs can only be renew for one year

But I will phone the DVLA to clarify tommorow

Robin, sorry, am unsure on this one...can't locate what plate a 96 is, so can't answer the question !

Basically, you can't make a car look newer than it is, so unless yours is an S plate or newer, you couldn't put this plate on.
