Yup, got home safely without the attention of my friends in blue (makes a nice change )
Great run out as always, and my slicks were a heap of sideways fun, although maybe *too* sideways at one point, so Fri morning a set of new toyo's went on. Now discovering the meaning of this oft discussed topic - grip!
Jim and I recce'd a new route on Friday afternoon, slightly shorter and 50/50 winding narrow (as you are used to on our thursday jaunts) and the other half more open and flowing, tho with some interesting surface undulations to keep your wits about you and your passenger screaming.
It seems we have now lost the daylight for winter, so does anyone fancy an early morning blast? I know it means getting out of bed at an hour that we thought did not exist, but a Sat or Sun 7am blast would be both daylight and relatively free of traffic, any takers?

Morning,
Thanks for the spin out last night guys, good fun as usual.
Are you still thinking of doing something at 06:00 on Saturday morning - 'cos it's dark until ~07:20 at the moment!
Andrew...
PS. What a crap launch...but once I hit second he was toast

Nice to meet you all, twas good fun. I was also thinking similar re. levels of light early in the morning, so I'll probably give Ian a shout and see what he reckons.
I really fancy going to N. Wales sometime to sample some of the divine tarmac there- unforch I haven't got the foggiest where these roads are.
Anyhoo, maybe see you on Saturday.
PS. Toasted I was!! Didn't think for a second I would be able to keep up but fancied a bit of immature fun! BTW, your car sounded great!

All,
Thanks for a good run out last night. Really must stop eating at 18:40 though.
Huck, great to meet you, glad you had a good stretch. Apologies if I spooked you on the slip road. Wanted to conduct the RS/4x4 Ratio test...yup yours are longer and it showed as you gradually crept off.
Colin.

Colin,
I was *seriously* impressed when you drew level with me and then flew forward 'on a tidal wave of torque' as the annoying motor journos never tire of saying! Didn't realise it was you till I passed you!
You up for the Saturday am drive?

Indeed it would, from the ***, peel off into Denbeigh or Llangollen, looping down or up towards Bala in someway...arh no thats a day.
The little road from Minera to llangollen is a real joy at night, apart from sheep; takes you into worlds end and is a very nice view.
As to this Sat am, not sure... will phone whomever to say for sure at the prescribed time.
