so who will win the league this year?
People are free to support who they like. It's just a shame to see so many clubs in the lower leagues struggling to survive and attracting tiny crowds because they enjoy minimal local support because much of their potential support follows a premiership side.
I lived in Lincoln for a few years, and as they were dabbling with bankruptcy and getting gates of around 1000, half the city seemed to support Man U, Liverpool or Leeds, and showed it by wearing their shirts. Lincoln may have been ****, but imagine what that extra revenue could do for a small club.
Look at your local team - skint.

I agree Father. However, the first I can remember supporting United, in '83, I was 9 and followed in my old man's footsteps as he supported them. Morals and the like of the local side and how they are struggling doesn't really come into it at that age!
I'm afraid that most kids that show an interest in footie at an early age these days will go the same way, i.e. support who their dad supports. I know my boy, 4, has umpteen United kits already, etc..... So maybe people like myself are to blame!

Now Villa have become a selling club over the past few years where realistically can Mr Taylor take the mighty Villains this year, via route one maybe
, seriously are Villa fans happy?? the players dont seem to be but there has been no noise from the supporters yet, is it because you are used to it?? just curious

City are due to move into their new COUNCIL house at the end of the upcoming season aren't they?
And if you do find derby tickets, put my name on three of them, as I can't see my membership application being accepted due to the 'high level of demand' (I May even have to give Seejay a shout...

Nick Lad, you got it. If we beat the RB's at Maine Road and lose every other game it's a good season in my book.
Oh, and you don't have to be a bitter blue to be in the ABU crew......ooohhh the banter.
Dave, how many tickets would you want?

Nice one
Not to sure about your sign on suggestion, a touch too long, Red B@stard has a nice ring to it

I'd also have to see Phil Salsa king for some new stickers as well could be expensive with "Dave Red B'stard FKA Funkii Munkii", it may just fit across the windscreen

City's coming up but they're going straight back down, going straight back down, going straight back down.....

United WILL be back in the old routine, so all the other pretenders to our crown may as well not bother

jealousy, why?
man u won nothing last year
IMHO Man city will struggle to go top half in their first season back . Still good to have a team with some local support from Manchester ;-)

oh, man u fans are so predictable. The treble was a fantastic achievement i agree
but it's like liverpool fans going about when they won everything.
last seasons results are the important ones and i'm sure you'll agree Man U were well off the pace in the league.
I went to cardiff in May and saw my team lose ( i was gutted) but can honestly say arsenal were too good for everyone last year (in league and cup).
oh well, it all starts again soon so may the best team win (as long as it's not manu or arsenal)

I agree, we were poor by our standards last season. 6 defeats at home was ridiculous and usually takes us at least 4 seasons to accumulate but, as we showed in '99, we will never be more dangerous than after a trophyless season.....
Now let's get this season on the road..... Can't bl00dy wait!

He's here, he's there, he's every f*cking where, Brian McClair
Weve got Di Canio and you stole our stereo (West ham v Liverpool) quality
my personal favourite
