Castle Combe Silver Evo 6
How do you know that he wasn't indicating out of the way? You really need to see someone following him to judge that better.
The guy in the white Evo was either very annoyed with him or a complete idiot!!! Or both LOL.
Track days should be organised so that people with no experience or want to take their time learing the track ARE NOT ON during a session when experienced people who wish to take the car round to the limits are on.
When Sam and I were out on track together, both of us were fast and we were overtaking the vast majority of people on track.......neither of us had an issue (well I didn't I cannot speak for Sam) with the other drivers.
Obviously with regards to track etiquette I would wait for the other driver to see me (if not I would use my headlights but there was no need for that) and indicate out of the way. I would not try to overtake on corners.
You can get frustrated with slower drivers, but at the end of the day, there are track marshalls. Get off the track and mention it to them, it is what they are there for!!!
If you have an issue with another driver try to resolve it there and then, I was very glad to at Knockhill to speak with the driver, because at least I heard his side of the story and we were both able to learn from it!!!

I think this clip does show that he was attempting to pass on the left (into the corner) and confusing the **** out of me. I should have kept wide and let him pass on the right at the corner )(which I was told isn't allowed but WTF) this is the second lap that I had him climbing all over my back bumper. I was indicating for most of the lap, lifting off for him to go past, which he didn't do.
It can also be seen that I am indicting and have lifted off for him to go past!! Am I in the wrong ??
Cheers Phill C
PS Thanks Snowcrash for providing the footage

Playing devils advocate here not looking for arguments tho
It doesnt look like he was trying to pass you on the corner, looked to me like he is trying to 'show' you that he is quicker at that point on the track than you, you did do the right thing imho and let him thru, on track days it is easier to follow than it is to lead, so maybe you were driving plenty quick enough leading him along and once out in front he couldnt cut the mustard

Snowcrash,
Wrong, got a lovely picture of both mine and the car in question here!! A guy telephone me up last night and said he had a few picture of my car. Went and met him, and he took twelve really nice pictures
Silver EVO number plate is black with white writting and says "63511" ??
Cheers Phill C
PS I've calmed down now!!

Quote: "Agree with some of the comments about poor driving and on some of the sessions it was more of a race with some very dodgy manouveres going on. For whatever reason this was caused by the EVO drivers, possibly due to there being more EVO's on track that day. Maybe they are all a bit insecure and feel they need to prove something ? like some of the comments on this thread !"
It was obvious that some of the Evos were trying to prove a point to each other - as in "my Gems/Motec/Autronic ECU is better than yours". This is a big issue on the MLR at the moment.
It was entertaining for the spectators, but perhaps they could have had more consideration for other track users.
And not all Evo drivers are *******

Can't be bothered to quote it again, but I think you'll find that most people who have got an Evo are people who generally drive cars a lot faster and harder than the average Scooby driver! The fact is Scoobies are a lot easier to live with day to day driving, so most wouldn't buy an Evo unless it's the rawness that they want!
I went from a Scooby to an Evo because I wanted to drive round a track as fast as I can, and I do. When ever I do a track day, I don't ***** foot around the track, I drive as fast as I bloody well dare, but I do have track etiquette for other drivers. It's not a case of showing off or racing, but if you get two similar drivers in similar spec cars, the fact is they are going to be very closely matched driving round the circuit. I personally don't see the point in paying all that money to drive round a track and then having a Sunday cruise!
My rant over.

Anyway going back to Babbers original statement, I had exactly the same thing on my first time at Castle Combe. Talking to this old boy who was the chairman of some Nissan Pulsar GtiR cluband hearing about how many times he'd done the circuit and that he had 380bhp and I had a standard UK Scoob, I thought I would let him by before the first lap was up. I courteously indicated and let him by and then regreted it from then on. All he did was hold me up and everytime I tried to overtake him, he wouldn't have any of it. Ignorant ******, just like the one Babber is on about.
