Scooby Model - I didnt mean for it to sound like that, its just some of the guys do wind ups like this...

Seriously thought bug eyed or not, the UK Turbo will do you fine, you'll love it and can do various things to it to make it go a little quicker. The P1 or STi will either be impossible or hugely expensive to insure, so go for the standard turbo, you'll love it!

I've owned an MY'00 Turbo, P1 and am now on the bug eyed one, which has proved to be a huge improvement on the older ones.

All the best, Alex

Its a good job you don't want a Corsa At least this board is a little less hormonal, if more sceptical.

I'd say a P1 is out of the question, MY01 and some ScoobySport magic sounds like a good alternative.

Scooby Model,

Have you considered, asking this evry generous father of yours to insure the impreza in his name? Then adding you on as a named driver. It would make his policy more expensive but would still allow you to drive fully comprehensively.

On top of that, buy your self, an old old car, ie. over 25 years old. insure that in your name minimum third party, and leave it off the road. You pay no tax, and insurance on a classic car if you limit the milage and raise the excess is pittance. (around 200 max). This will allow your no claims bonus to continue building whilst driving your impreza on your dads policy.

Have to say, if this is a wind up, which I did suspect given the stunning photo, your replies have been bloody coherent!

It's worth a look sometimes and quite good for a laugh. How about getting a few people from scoobynet to post a pic or two.

I suspect whoever the person is who started the thread is a regular, a bloke and has a large collection of images downloaded from various picture sites

Ok looking at the site is one thing but saving pictures of the people. Now that's sad.

I wont be posting mine either but I'm sure a few of the other guys will be donning the Speedo's and pulling their best poses.

I suspect I'll be heading to the muppet forum shortly

Very impressive wind up!

but also a dissapointment What a fox!

looked too good to be true.

I am impressed someone spotted that, but also concerned they have too much time on their hands to go surfing.

The sight that your talking about proves there are good women out there playing on the net,
also a few good lookers in here but don't need to show there pics because there not after men's attention.
I bet some of you men are good lookers too but we don't see the pics of you.

I have to give you credit. I think you've done a great job with your first post and certainly caused a bit of a stir. I didn't mean to sound cynical but the picture you posted made me very suspicious. I hope you get the car you want.

All the best

Didn't really want to join in on this one, but could not resist...

quote:
Sure I'll come clean. You don't think i'm stupid enough to post a real picture of me on a testostorone charged site like this??

Then why post a picture of an attractive girl (IMHO )at all? Don't you think doing that will get the rest of the men "charged up"? Something you don't want?

quote:
Honestly, i'm web savvy enough to know that the last thing a girl needs is men perving all over her. Some of the comments here have proven my point, and have made me feel glad I posted a false photo.

Again, why post a picture at all? "glad I posted a false photo". Read : Ooops. I've been caught out. What do I say now...

quote:

If you're that desperate check out page 113 ish of next months Cosmopolitan magazine.

Knowing Cosmo there's a fair chance that will be an advert with a model in it. Ratio of pages for Adds / Articles must be 2:1 .

quote:

For those who've given me good advice and been nice to me a big XXX to you. For everyone else, well you can .........

Ooops, getting them all "charged up" again!!!

Finally, from one of your previous posts..

quote:
I've managed to find a photo a friend took a few weeks back. After a lot of digging around I found how to post it.

Blimey, You managed to post it by;

a) Not posting a "how do I post pictures" question first.
b) Looking through the history/search.
c) Get it right first time (no edit in the post).

Are you sure you don't work in IT? That's better than most regulars!!!

I don't believe this!

What a lot of Male Chauvinist Pigs you are! Girls can't use the internet and PC's then! I'm obviously too dumb to use anything but my curling tongs!

Excuse me, i'll go back to the kitchen sink shall I? While i'm at it, do you have any socks that need darning?

I might flirt a little(the photo etc), but then that's me. I'm still going to get a Subaru but after such misogynistic(ooh the girl knows a big word!!) attitudes I'm sure as hell not going to go to any 'meets'.

I had just the same attitude from the Saxo dealers. Pretty face=thick as two short planks.

So i'll ask again. Other than HPI and RAC checks what else should I ask when I go and see this yellow car?

I'm more than just a face and a look, deal with it!

Check out [http://www.sidc.co.uk] and look for the FAQ. Download it and read it before you buy anything.

All looks pretty real to me.

Either way, SM is making a damn good point in her last post - just look at the reactions from everyone in here......

Thanks for the support, i'll read that FAQ tomorrow.

The Cosmo thing was my first job and the agency i'm with did it as a precursor to a full contract(I.e I did it as a one off). That's why I need I manager to either sign with them, or go somewhere else.

In anycase, if anyone's still interested i'll let y'all know how I got on.

BTW I'm not going to go into anymore details as my private life is just that.

SM

Question

Could someone local and impartial not meet and clarify our model is indeed the girl in Cosmo and in need of a Scooby?

I don't think posting an image is exactly beyond the grasp of anyone other than a seasoned regular - I managed it myself without an edit and UBB code is completely new to me also. The upload (which admittedly I didn't use) is hardly rocket science either.

If she is fake then all credit for doing a fairly good job. If they're not going to own up there really is not much else that will give them away.

If she is real then SM, good luck with finding a motor. Drive carefully and don't forget to keep it locked with you're around town. As well as the mechanical inspection, make sure you've adequate security thrown in to protect your investment.

LOL!!!

u gotta love the internet...

u never know if someone is really who they say they are...
i bet alot of people type what they would not say...

as far as any help is concerned... u are in the right place for it
car wise- i doubt if the car u choose will be at all bad... so relax and pick one that suits ur needs

P1 is lovely, but my soon-to-be PPPed MY99 car will do me just great!!

It suits my need to try to avoid the obviousness of the P1, whilst still having earth-shattering acceleration and cornering.

mind u, with YELLOW in mind, I dont think being inconspicuous is top of ur priorities!

enjoy it

Question

Excuse me, but where am I being a male chauvinist pig???

The dig about posting pictures was tounge-in-cheek and mainly aimed at the regulars on the BBS. Did you not notice the smilies??? .

Take a chill pill....

You will also notice that my comments regarding the posting of pictures did not state my surprise that you managed it because you were a woman merely that you are a first time poster.

You may very well be telling the truth about everything you have said. Then again you may not. The thing about the BBS is that there's no real way of telling.

Frankly, I don't really care. What's it to me...??

PS. Don't take everything you read on the BBS too seriously...
