Drexel,
I am going to repeat myself over and over... at the 90k service the Cambelt is changed, get the front oil seal (crank seal) changed too.. cheap part and no extra cost as the cambelt is off already.. I didn't and 10k later another cambelt change to get the oil seal changed etc.. would have saved me 300 if I had changed it at 90k service.. they go at around 100,000miles..
90k service is about 450...

JGM,
Exactly the same thing happened to me. Oil leaking contaminated the cam belt and had to have it repaced again.
It should be a new entry in the service manual IMHO...

Still worth trying to get the oil seal changed..
Might try looking into this motoreasy... although I am skeptical about it..
Where is your car fixed/serviced? can you choose..
I asm sure the details are on the website but it would be too obvious to open that at work this afternoon.. but I will check it out.

Of the couple of places I spoke to regarding the problem TSL were the only one to say that they change the seal with the cambelt at 90k as a precaution..
It does tend to be that car dealers only really provide and think about things upto about 45k... hence the schedule just starts again..

March 2000 Turbo, bought July 2001 with 14k on it, now showing 42k.
DBM, stone chipped to buggery, needs all the front end repainting...
Still love it though...
