So close and yet so far.
Been looking for a 320CE Sportline as a second car for a while now.
Can't really see the point of only 150 horses with uprated suspension, extra bolsters on the seats and a smaller wheel.
Lovely example but a little too high.
A local dealer has a genuine (original docs + badges etc) 320CE Cab. with full options for £14,995 @ 71,000 miles.
A price nearer £9250 would be more realistic as it is only a 220 not a 320.

You are correct my car is a 220 sportline!!!!!!!! Some people will not want the big engine my car combines the looks with a fair turn of speed and better fuel economy and without the higher Insurance costs. Surely if the car at the dealership was that good you would have bought it????? Your value of my car is your opinion certainly not mine and I think anyone who is looking for a 220 Sportline will not find a better one at the price in the Uk.. Wish you luck finding your 320 Cheers

You are correct sir that was just my opinion and like any beatiful, well loved car it's always worth more to the seller than the buying public until you find the guy like me who's been looking for a 220 not a 320.
The car at the local dealer is really that good but it isn't a cab. I'm looking for, just a coupe.
These cars don't go by the book at all. As far as older Mercedes are concerned it's the condition that sets the price and the history. Anything from '93K to '96N are in the range of £8000-£12500 for a 320 and about £1250 lower for a 220. It really is a gorgeous car you have there and if it were a 320 I'd bite your arm off. If you were any nearer I'd at least come and have a look. Maybe the engine is better than I think? The only other issue I have is one of good value. To pay the same price now for a 220 as a 320 seems daft when they were £10,000 different when new.

Thank you for your kind comments, yes I agree with what your saying, The Cabriolet must be very cheap at that price? I would even be interested in Flying down to have alook at it for myself do you have a contact?

I am sure that the first person who has the courage(Lol) to come up to Scotland to see my wifes car will buy it, I will just have to wait, It is not being used much just now so is in my heated garage under cover and I even go out and polish it every week sad perso that I am.

I do hope you find the right car Cheers

benview....I admire your persistance with this beautiful car, but I would maybe leave it a month or so & try again. What about Top Marques, or have you done this already ??
What about an internet link that gives the spec & write-up of the car.

ttt as well
