I have an idea for hard people who have spent all their dosh in buying a scooby.

We and other manufacturers have a brilliant idea and a new formulation for cleaning wheels:

1 part phosphoric acid, 1 part sulphuric acid, lashing of chalk and other abrasives, 2 parts ammonia, 3 parts toilet cleaner, 1 part kithchen cleaner and a dash of brasso. Plus we'll add a rusty wire brush for the stubborn bits and a spray bottle of Kleer floor polish for that really smart shine.

The price...£3.00 and no postage. Warranty: none cos you wheels will fizz away before you could finish dialling the contact number.

Being cheeky? Yeah I agree. Just to drive home a point of using cheap skate remedies.

It must be human nature (or should that be Scooby nature) that we spend £20K+ on our cars. Abuse them on the road. Spend loads on mods. Take them on race tracks to really abuse them. Clean them with kitchen products, paint stripper and anything else that happens to be in the cupboard. Then complain when it comes time to sell them and they have lost money. Strange eh

Never mind maybe its your mission to change all of our minds.

PS I've got a really hot chilli sauce (Daves Insanity Sauce). Might try that on the wheels as it says it will strip drive ways)

I also have some nasty spots in between the spokes, with some baked-in brake dust. I've used the Zymol wheel cleaner & brush, but it only helped a little. Is there a trick I should use? I was aware of only leaving the cleaner on the wheels for a minute. Should I take longer? Maybe a different brush? The wheels are only a year old & are cleaned at least weekly - although only very recently with the Zymol kit & I never waxed or protected them either.

I know your products are good, but nothing compares to Nitromors when it comes to removing brake dust. I "cleaned" my old celica wheels with automative Nitromors, in less than 1 minute the fizzing had stopped, a quick blast with a hose, and all brake dust gone, along with laquer...

I was on the way to have them reconditioned tho!

With the problem you guys and gals have with wheels and chips etc I am beginning to think that I should be offering you refurbishment and repair services....what say you.

Of course we'll come to you.

Maybe just maybe I'll take the plunge but some feed back please.

I wonder if that PTFE stuff designed for windscreens would prevent the dust from sticking ? I might give it a try and report back. I think the problem is that break dust is hot and makes contact with the wheel at a relatively high speed, so it sticks and melts into the laquer.

Be careful with wonderwheels, if used too often it strips off the laquer.
