Not sure if there was ever a fitting price quoted, but I'm sure they will tell you when you phone. Prices doesn't include fitting

Well done Phil on a good group buy. My gauges arrived yesterday so guess what I'm doing this weekend.

Peccy

What readings do you see for Oil Temp and Oil Pressure and normal running temp. What MY is yours and what would you suggest the warning levels are set at on the Oil Temp and Pressure.

Cheers

Thumbs up

Edd,

oiltemp : when engine hot, between 92 - 96
pressure: 2.5 on idle, about 6.0 under normal driving
boost: peaks at 1.2 holds at 1.0 till 6000rpm then drops off

warnings: not sure myself what to set these too, although have set the boost to 0.5BAR because i like the warning beeps and flashes

Phil, Ozzy just directed me here, I hope im not too late to get in on this... I'm a bit worried our cars are starting to end up the same, but needs must.... ;-p

Was considering oil temp, oil pr., boost, classic SM pod, controller and plug - comes out at 415.40 by my calcs...

But Phil, who are you getting to do the fitting? and how much?

Jon.

Can everyone that has ordered them and paid a deposit, sit back and relax!! The rest of you that haven't ordered them and paid a deposit may I suggest that you do so quickly They have the ten people that are needed, and as pointed out have extended the offer, but first come first serve, as they have ordered a stock in

Cheers Phill C

PS Waiting for price confirmation for the fitting, and will post. I will be using my mate Steve for the fitting, who lives in Yate

Simon,

Thanks for the comments, you wouldn't believe the time this has taken so far, and only a few of us has got them. I almost changed my mind and went for the 60mm one, as they have them in stock

Hope all goes well with the fitting, you doing it yourself ?

Phill

Got my stuff this morning. Yes, will be (attempting) to fit myself this weekend, weather providing...

Had some useful tips from Dave @ Scoobymania re fitting...

Got the Pod as well, pre painted, for an additional fee, which is good as this is something I don't have to worry about....

Will post some step by step pictures as I install the kit, for any other brave soles that want to have a crack themselves....

Cheers

Phil, FYI SM (Shaun as was told that Jase has now left) told me to wait with my order and ring back next week when they know when they will a date for getting the units into stock...

FWIW they quoted 75+VAT for fitting at their site in Nottingham.

Just spoke to Shaun myself and with Jase leaving there is a little confusion. I would strongly recommend telephoning the order through again, giving real and scoobynet name, just to be on the safe side

They think the 52 mm gauges will be in stock 7 to 10 days

They fitting price of £75 + VAT is correct for 3 gauges, and £85 + VAT for four. I'd personnally offer cash for a discount on the fitting

Phil,

Took your advice and Shaun agrees and says for people to place orders now so as not to miss out...

Ordered:

52mm white face:
- Oil temp
- Oil Pressure
- Boost
Control unit
oil sender
Classic SM pod.

Had a word re fitting as you said... sorted.

Roll on 7-10days!!! :-)

Jon.

David,

I see where your coming from now mate, sorry In the other Defi group buy thread (now locked) there was a guy who posted a picture of his three gauge a pilliar pod and it was really nice. Have a look and email him, he actually makes them, and can sell you one for around £70. He couldn't find one anywhere so made a design and got someone to make him a few Thought about getting that one myself, as they are really nice.

Hope this helps mate.

Cheers Phill C

PS What did you do with your pod that didn't fit ?
