just a bit of traffic advice for anyone heading to elvington by driving along the a1079 through hayton. Dont!!

they have got roadworks there because they are repairing the bridge. (not that you would know there is a bridge).

also anyone coming from junction 37 m62 and then along the A614(howden, holme on spalding moor etc) check with aa roadwath that the road is open as 2 wagons met on the hump back bridge on monday!uch: they smashed it to bits. so the road has been closed from howden since monday, no idea when likely to reopen.

go to this link Elvington and you can see the airfield. Zoom out once and you can see the A64.

For you A64 from leeds. come off at the a1079 junction and go right for the A1079 to Hull. Just as you come off the roundabout there is a slip road to right for Elvington. Take this and follow it to Elvington. Quite simple i think

Just a quick note to say thankyou to all the organisers of the Top Ten Shootout.
This was a spectacular event enjoyed by all.
Hears hoping we can see more of these events in the area in the future.
