lifted off IWOC Email List:

ONLY ONE WEEK BEFORE THE SIDC SUMMER EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

The Subaru Impreza Drivers Club is holding a summer extravaganza on
Sunday
7th July (yes it's the same day as the British GP). Although the event
will
be predominantly for Subaru owners, there are already a sizeable
contingent
of Lotus Elises to take part and many other car clubs, plus a variety
of
other quality marques.

It's an ideal opportunity to take to the track for a low cost, with a
couple
of "taster" sessions before and after lunch if you are unsure about
taking
to the track for a full event. There are lots of other activities
taking
part on the day, and it is an ideal alternative to sitting at home
watch the
GP on TV. You can come along to Donington and watch it on a large
screen, in
the company of other petrol heads!

The day will be open at 9.30 am and will close at 17.30 pm.

Donington Park Circuit The Driver Development side of the day is split
into
morning and afternoon sessions, both run as open pit lanes to maximise
track
time. In addition to this there are two further 20 min sessions for
those
members and guests who would just like the opportunity to take their
car on
the circuit for a shorter period of time. Helmets can be arranged on
the
day.

Track Session Costs (times approx)

Morning 8.30 - 12.40 £95
Short A 12.40 - 13.00 £25
Short B 13.40 - 14.00 £25
Afternoon 14.00 - 18.00 £95
Full Day (excluding shorts) £170

Activities on the day include:

Bouncy Castle for the children up to 13 yrs (free)
Gladiator Duel for adults from 14 yrs (£2.50 per game)
Skid Pan (£20 for 15 minutes)
Radio Control Grand Prix (£2 per game the winner receives a Trophy)
Raffle Prizes - prize's Scoobysport Back Box, Scoobymania Defi Boost
gauge
and Defi Controller 2, Evo Magazine 1 - 23, SIDC BINDER including Back
Issues of True Grip, SIDC T-Shirt, SIDC Mug, SIDC
Mouse Mat, SIDC Clock, SIDC Polo shirt, SIDC T Shirt (Embroided), SIDC
A3
Print plus loads more great prizes!!

More details at http://shop.sidc.co.uk

Anyone who has booked for the track will have free entrance on the day.
The
entrance fee for SIDC members will be £2.50 please bring your
membership
card.

Unfortunately we will not be able to take Credit Cards on the day so
please
bring along cash or your cheque book

Snowcrash, Why so unsure..Don't worry, we won't lose you!! Seriously this won't be a race. I've done enough group drives now not to be provoked into going faster than I want/am allowed! Also, as i'll probabaly be leading, I can set the pace so that - A) Nobody gets lost. B) We do sensible speeds through built up areas etc etc

Wlif, better clean mine then!

Steve.

1200bhp Skyline - that would be nice - but where would all the spare parts go!!! - The Kitchen?

My car only got 360bhp the other day at a an RR, so its almost standard....

Shame I cant come to Donno - the Scottish crowd have invited me and the erm slow car to come along.... but the Wife says different! - I'll be in Northampton.. (no not Silverstone!)
