ScoobyNet Golden Moments - What would you pick?
Personally I'd nominate any thread by Pete Lewis - especially the ones where he is winding someone up (most of them ) and the person(S) don't realise it.

Shucks, Chris, I am all made up
I have been away for all the school hols and go again on Sunday so have been very quiet
I would like to see my very first post, I think it went something like:-
'Why dont more people with Impreza's change their wheels away from the supplied Gold to Silver' - at this time I thought that they came with Gold and a few clever/rich/tasteful people had changed to Silver ......................... God forbid, I NEVER, even in my WILDEST dreams, thought anyone with half a brain cell and a Testosterone Hormone would CHOOSE to put Gold Wheels on their cars - it was at this point that I realised how much fun I could have without it costing too much, much more fun than any ride at a theme park!! - oh, Happy Day!!

This one has historical importance and provided the only live way of keeping up with unfolding events at the time for a lot of people as virtually all news site were down.

Mr Webmaster sir. How far back does the search facility go. I have tried to locate my "sunscreen" post and cant find it. Problem is, I think it was posted late 1998, early 1999. Is this too far back?

Erm Pete ... I think you'll find there is no "d" in Alberick

Can't vote on the PROPROPRO thing myself as I was involved a bit too much
Andy, good link there BTW, added that to my favourites. Great discussion on diffs.

Alberick, mgmt summary:
SB: "1 bar of boost blows up yer car/gearbox"
CraigH & me : "nope it won't"
From there on, it went downhill, including "yo mamma" comments etc.
I wouldn't call it British humour, it's pretty universal.
As a side note: strange how people like him suddenly disappear. I wonder if they blew up their car again, or faced the wrong end of the law, or are just happy with the total bull**** they spout (and the money they throw after their car). I guess I'll never know.
The whole thread had nothing to do with tuning products and their value BTW.
HTH,
Theo

Whatever.....probably he is happy with his car and is wary of posting here as 90% of posts are ending in "muppet" style anyway.
I just remember the "prox3" thread getting very personal and insulting, so much that I came to the chat room just to say "sorry" (not that I actually was)

This had me going the other night.... http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...=127750&Page=1
Starts off as one of those "You deleted my thread!" posts, but by the 4th post, you can see where it's starting to go.
Made all the more funny by a serious thread having some true irony added to it!!
