I was only talking about factory turbos, Richard - cheap power straight from the showroom floor. I'm well aware that some US Impreza owners turbocharge or supercharge their cars, but what proportion of overall RS ownership goes to these lengths? My point kind of was that the factory Turbo Impreza was very fast to begin with, which asserts arrogance amongst many drivers ("I'm faster than you, therefore I have an air on invincibility and I own a greater proportion of the road than you do"). With less outright grunt to begin with, you look at other sources - perhaps that's why I see that the discussions about better brakes, better springs/shocks, better anti-roll bars, better intakes and so on are more heated on the iClub board than they are here.

And as for that drag down the Parramatta Road, you're on. All the way to a heady 20 km/h .

Well thats it then.

I know for a fact that come people have these stickers on there cars and none of you have owned up.

Can I take it you have now removed them?

If thats the case, thanks. You have made my day and to quote one of your great car window stockers "mission accomplished"

P.S. Mike - If we weren't concerned about fashion and style of our cars we would drive around in Nova's with 4WD and Cossie engines!!

Everyone has some thoughts on that surely (apart from Window stickers owner and 2000K sound system owners)

Now where is my baseball cap?........

Happy driving all

Thumbs up

On the plus side (for selfish reasons), I reckon the "max power" brigade getting into Scoobies isn't a bad thing for resale values.

Lets face it, values have dropped (particularly imports) and this must be partly due to people knowing they can import a new car from Europe for not much more than the cost of a second hand one.

However Corporal Thudder Max Power probably hasn't the brain cells to figure this out... hmmmn time for a killing. (or at least maybe I won't drop quite so much as I expected.)
