Rich,

Absolutely no connection meant between "Jocks"/Scots and saddos. Apologies if that's how it came across. Above reply to SW hopefully clarifies my definition of saddo in this context...

LOL @ Tel's Jock being an "affectionate term"

We tend to refer to English W@nkers, but don't take offence when we do mate, its just our affectionate term......

Diablo,

Whatever also.

I wouldn't have the first clue how/why "Jock" is offensive. It's just a term we use, always have done, always will do. The fact you're taking this so personally just makes it funnier...

Question

So, who is this Ronald Macdonald??

It always amazes me how some people on this BBS are so spineless that they take on new identities to 'have a pop'!!

Surely he couldnt be a 'Tough - Jock - in - a - Frock'??

Pete

Tel, I'm not taking it personally.

I am aware of Jock being a less than endearing term though.

Call me what you want..LOL...

Pete, you are a stuck record. Go away. It's not even mildly amusing anymore, just tedious...

You said your bit, you were proved an ar$e. Leave it, please......

I'm guessing the equivalent term I'd use would be Guff or Guffie, and that's not meant as endearing in any shape or form (when I use it anyway).

Usually accompanied by a few choice swear words adds to the overall effect

pslewis what difference does it make who I am. Its what I say that matters. Your such a prolific poster though, has anyone actually met YOU in person, does anyone know who YOU are, hmmm I doubt it.

You are one deeply offensive individual though, who, along with a few others (planky, rsvegia, telboy to mention a few) have made jingoism your other national sport (toned down from xenophobia because 'some' of the moderators dont believe it exists).

Rule Britannia because pslewis just happened to pop out from under a gooseberry bush south of the border.

Mike,

Please feel free to call me a Guffie whenever you want, as it means absolutely nothing to anyone down here, so no offence taken in the slightest!

Guffie Tel (or is that F**king Guffie Tel..?!)

Glad we got that one sorted then!! Come on Brazil..!!

Damn,

does that just apply to Planet Essex, or Englandshire in general? Might have to find another one

I've no idea where Guff came from - anyone?

Mike.

Exclamation

Ronald,

When did i EVER have a pop at Scotland or the Scottish..??!!

I've clearly been stating that i have NOT been doing that, haven't i?

The word Jock has touched a few nerves, but that's wholly unintentional, naiively or not.

I love the country, love the people, jury out on the weather!
Please don't include me in any jingoistic accusations!!

Terry

Guff

Guff was the term used to describe the English in times of Old.

It was due to the Stench they used to give off.

They were famous for being SoapDodgers

And full of there own BullS**t

LOL

I think it may have started from you're thread title

Whatever - you've apologised already and you can't edit the title anyway so it's

Oh dear I've been moderated (for the first time since I joined Scoobynet I might add.)
I was making a point and TelBoy certainly seems to have received it in the spirit it was intended. - ie without malice.

I did use a poorly disguised swear word though and maybe they way I put it across was pretty offensive, so I apologise to anyone who was offended - certainly not my intention!

sammyh - I wasn't trying to make your job as moderator harder than it already is, so sorry about that...

Rich

Question

Craig,

On behalf of the English who have so obviously upset you over the years for one reason or another, can i say a collective "sorry" so that you can get just a little of this spite out of your system?? We're not all that bad you know...
