When I took it to a proper specialist he said he could tell there was something wrong when he was looking at the engine running as it was moving on it's mounts too much as it was out of balance

Option 2 is a forged engine. Option 1 is the cheaper of the two. Just wondering if it痴 worth going for option 1 along with the addition of uprated studs and head gaskets.

For the cost or building standard compared to forged i'd go forged, it's only an extra what 2k ish on average? You won't get any discount or benefit from going standard then forged later besides a bigger hole in your wallet

I hear you. So there痴 a possibility or a definite chance of it going again?

Also want to point out I won稚 be going for any more power. Pistons in this option are hypereutectic. Kev has said it痴 held together with stronger head bolts.

Forged option is out of my budget so I want assurance that option 1 will be good to last

Default Update

After a long 3 month wait, I finally picked up my car from sc and buzzing with how it痴 turned out.

Drives how it should have and made a healthy run on the dyno for a car with no mods, standard internals, uprated hg and arp studs.

Now it痴 been remapped and the oils changed from the breaking in period, I can FINALLY enjoy my car! Big thanks to Kev, Dan, mapper Mark and the whole team at Scooby Clinic.

Quite a journey you've went on. Good effort, although this is exactly why I avoided any 2.5 like the plague and went for the JDM 2.0.

Hope the car serves you well mate.

Default Decat

Not too shabby for an oem block! As quick as I壇 want it for my daily road goer. ARP studs from the build and a simple decat. Big improvement from the 313 with standard downpipe. Oh and it sounds the business! Shoutout to Mark, technician on rolling road at SCR!

Sounds like they have bodged the repair up big time from the original garage . SC is a great place and really know their stuff. Hopefully you can just enjoy it now and have fun!
