The 3 bolt for gtspec etc.
& 2 bolt style,
The only two types I've seen,
Got on on my car but did the whole lot at once so unable to comment on just the up-pipe effects,
I was told that the best for spool is stock twinscroll headers ported,
With a custom up-pipie merging just before the turbo, (Obv no merging if twin scroll turbo tho)

i really dont know what to do guys to be honest.
i spoke with a well known and respected engine builder earlier this year who said that to split my block and re-build with uprated rods/new headgaskets/new head studs rated to at least 260,000 psi/new seal kit/tming kit/all fluids and removal and refit would be around Ł2500 providing no problems surfaced. perhaps factor in new bearings/oil pump aswell.
factor in another Ł1500 for a turbo and remap and im looking at Ł4k + so not sure its worth it BUT i will never be happy with 350bhp.
will have to have a good old think about it..................i curse the original owner who never went for uprated rods.

if i paid Ł4k i could have 450+bhp NOT the extra 40bhp you state which would give me 390bhp in total.
how did i forget about closed deck inserts when my block already is a closed deck block?

I'm at 335bhp & 420lb/ft currently on my vf48 and looking to get somewhere between 400-450bhp. So essentially 100bhp increase which at that level can't be bought for Ł50.

i clearly stated in 1st post that i have a closed deck conversion and the 2 well known builders and the people who built it have said that with correct rods/head-studs i will have an engine capable of 500bhp......but according to you 450 will kill it.
so my fully refurbished brembo's which cost Ł500 to rebuild/powdercoat are crap and they do not work at all? so how do i stop then? do i chuck your fat mum out of the window like a road-anchor?
my head is empty inside.........i scooped out all of my brain and filled the void with soggy mush as i wanted to feel like you for a while.
hopefully brexit will get rid of rotters like you.............

vf43 or vf48 could take easy 370 with what You and shrek have now,
than Yes it is 50hp max more with sc42 for 5k in Your case, add clutch soon and fitting ,map adjust etc(shrek could not even fit gearknob,he is manually disabled)
You bought wrong car to mod 1550kg with 2.5l ,lag till 4k and 2.5k efficient revs ,no fun at all there
+9.5 wide alloys with stretched tyres,poor driving no handling and adds more weight
domino46 ,no idea how many miles You did and spec,those two lemons bought forged crap and in needs for 3rd rebuild soon
