I agree mate, while I've had to accept Facebook and the subaru groups on there I find in general far less total tools on this site (with the exception of Fawor of course) and far better information in general from genuinely knowledgeable enthusiasts. I prefer the forums by a mile, even if IB are slowly killing this site off with their downgrades to its functionality.

Update time!
So I finally got round to re-hanging the modified HTAutos rear diffuser how I wanted it. I installed metal threaded rivnuts into the underside of each fin on the original rear bumper which then allowed me to mount the diffuseer with screws instead of plastic blind pop trim fasteners. I also designed and 3D printed some spacers for the front part to allow this to drop down slightly from the underside of the spare wheel floor and have mounted the rear using blue annodised screws and black plastic spacers. The spacers blend in visually to the splitter and rear bumper so now it all looks like it was meant to be there, but allows the splitter to sit lower especially with the trimmed lip to reveal more of the original rear bumper fins which always looked good.
Very pleased with the result. Some subtle changes but looks LOADS better than before.
Also.... in bigger news.....
This happened this week.
Syvecs S6+ ECU.
In for a penny.....

awesome looking car buddy but i still think those angled edges of the rear diffuser look odd, the should be shaped to follow the curves of the rear bumper in my opinion. not having a dig at your car just giving my thoughts thats all buddy. where did you get the syvecs from and what did it cost?
Syvecs S6+ is a nearly new unit from Matty @ MB Developments and was on one of their own cars for a little while and hardly used, but it wasn't cheap. Very expensive for second hand unit, but the price of these are now climbing.
Unfortunately it doesn't come with a plug and play loom and Syvecs are not great at replying to requests. The unit will need to go back to Syvecs to be re-programmed to suit my Canbus car and need a plug and play loom making. I'm awaiting a quote.
It's not been an easy decision to be honest as even Mark from TDR has been trying to contact Syvecs on my behalf for a quote since January and finally had to come back to me to say that they have just not come back to him with anything in all that time so he now has no option but to refuse to quote me Syvecs as he's not being supported. Is a shame. Suspect I'm going to be pushed down the SC route on my car now due to this. We'll see.

LOL. They do follow the bumper, it's the angle of the picture. Up front to the naked eye they fit the bumper and suit it 100% honestly

I'm hoping I've saved at least a couple of quid buying this ECU but time will tell I guess. As Pat @ SC is Director of Syvecs I suspect the car will have to go to them to get the ECU done now. We'll see.

I suspect they only want to deal with authorised dealers of which Mark @ TDR isn't currently. So options are Mark @ lateral (who was able to get me a quote), SC and Evotune (who built and owned my car) are all dealers and installers.

I've just looked on tdr website and it seems mark has removed syvecs from it. I will be popping to see him soon to talk about simtek ecu although when we last spoke he didnt fill me with confidence regarding perfect cold starts/idle which would really bug me if it wasnt right.
Did you try engine tuner for syvecs?

Not tried Engine Tuner yet, but didn't think they were a Syvecs dealer.

That's very strange. I'm sure Mark also used to show EcuTek Racerom on his ECU mapping page, but that's also not shown now. He did tell me he could offer that, but unless I'm going mad that's no longer shown either.

is it worth considering something a bit left field? Like a Haltech? I know they love them over in AUS, and the later variants have some very good features and massive support. Just not sure the same supply/support applies to the UK?
EDIT - just answered my own question https://www.haltech.com/dealer-list/?reg=eu
looks like they only go up to 2010 MY as well https://www.haltech.com/product-cate...aru/wrx-06-10/
