I am no fan of Ronaldo, far from it but even I was sitting there thinking he may well be better than Messi after a performance like that on the World stage.

It was an amazing game and if you can't see that you don't belong here as you clearly don't appreciate superb football.

Messi proved your point yet again in the Iceland match

The guy can play for Barca and that's it, I doubt he'd be half as good if he ever left them.

I think Messi is the best dribbler and when playing for Barca looks the best in the World but that is club football and not on the World stage which is why I had to pretty much concede last night and as you say today that Ronaldo is certainly showing him up. Messi had chances today that he should have put away and didn't. Argentina on paper should have absolutely trounced Iceland with the team they have but it was anything but that.

Two points needing raised:

1. So because I disagree with you, I "don't belong on here"?

2. Ronaldo does two dives and the pundits say nowt. You accept it too.
Perhaps YOU don't belong on here.

Anyway, you get your wish as I have no desire to engage in a slagging match with you. Enjoy your solitary posts.

it was widely regarded as an amazing game yet all you can do it slag it off because you don't like Ronaldo.

I don't belong on my own thread which is about appreciating the World cup and amazing football?

- Who's up for Bra-Sui l8rz?

- I'm not feeling the WC fever, though. Something lacking.

Ha, yeh.

Hopefully, therefore, they can play without fear - due to not carrying historical baggage/scarring from failure/'expectation'.

Yeah, and hamsters might fly #2

LOL

Expecting another sluggish lacklustre display from the England team tonight. Look at how Mexico played then watch how we play.

Mexico played brilliant attacking football against the reigning World champions, only their quality in the final 3rd let them down as they should have scored 3 or 4 goals.

We have the attacking players to play like that with Dele Alli and Sterling on the wings but it's the usual English Management style that prevents that from ever happening.

Brazil I think underestimated Switzerland and just assumed it would be a walk in the park against them and had a nasty shock. They need to wake up for their remaining games.

It made my day though seeing the Germans beat and trudging off looking miserable

BRZ Need to get into the mind of Neymar and remind him there are 10 other players in the team, far too greedy, we can probably blame Ronaldo for that as well

Chicarito's tears after they beat Germany this is what the WC is all about

BTW I'm expecting ENG to come flying out of the blocks and put in a performance you'll be happy about 2-0

Lol i'd love to be proved wrong Funkii and see them have a great performance but I just can't see it. I can't remember the last time I saw an England team play with flair - probably 1990 when Gazza and Waddle were in the team
