he isn't a team driver in anyway shape or form, he was slower than ricardo for the whole race and just used dirty tactics to stop him getting by.
redbull must be rather anoyed give how many times he caused a crash this year. womder if they are regretting resigning him

Blimey, another fortunate race for Lewis (I'm not complaining 
).
'Perversely', he's now ahead of Vettel by 4pts!
It was wicked, 'cause I deliberately left watching the last few laps -- i.e. at the point when the pace car went in -- till this morning. It was mad. Lewis obviosuly got the 'double bonus' of Bottas having the puncture, let alone Vettel's overshoot.
Love it lol.
However, Merc have got some serious developing to do... And Lewis needs to up his game a bit, regardless.

2019 Changes
These are shown in detail in the video above, but in summary the changes are:
A simplified front wing with standardised endplates, tweaked dimensions and no upper flaps. This will encourage aerodynamicists to direct more of the flow to the underbody (where it is less sensitive to the disturbed wake of the car in front) than the outer body
The deletion of the upper flaps at the outer ends of the wing will make it impossible to create the vortices that are generated by the current, highly complex endplates to enhance the outer-body aerodynamics. This will further encourage the so-called ‘inwash’ aero philosophy of directing airflow to the underbody, rather than the current emphasis on ‘outwash,’ which is highly sensitive to the air from the car ahead and therefore makes it harder for cars to follow one another closely
Tweaks to the front wing’s dimensions and the limiting of under-wing strakes to two each side to further discourage outwash aerodynamics
Winglets mounted on the brake ducts currently play a part in directing the flow to the outer part of the body. These are banned from 2019, as are blown axles, which currently use air directed out of the centre of the wheel at high speed to energise the flow down the outer surfaces of the bodywork further back
Barge boards are lowered by 150mm (to make them less powerful in directing the airflow) and moved forwards by 100mm to make them less sensitive to the airflow being disturbed from the car in front
The rear wing endplates will no longer be permitted to have horizontal gills. These equalize the pressure between the inner and outer faces of the endplate to give a faster flow over the top of the wing for more downforce, but they introduce an extra disturbance to the wake, which worsens the performance of the car behind
The DRS opening will be increased from 65mm to 85mm. Together with an increase in width and height of the wing, this will make the DRS around 25-30% more powerful so as to allow it to be effective on those circuits with too short a straight for the current system. The FIA will also review the length of DRS zones at every circuit in order to maximise the effect of the changes
The increased height of the wing will take the 'rooster tail' wake coming off the back of it higher into the air than currently. More of the energy from that wake will be diffused into the free air around it before it returns to the level where it will be affecting the following car

The Toyotas are effectively in a class of their own at the sportscar race this year and one of their cars will almost certainly win if they prove reliable.
A Le Mans win would give Alonso part two of motorsport's 'triple crown'.
The Spaniard has already won the Monaco Grand Prix twice and, unable to get his hands on a competitive F1 car to add to his tally of 32 victories, has set his sights on winning Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500.
Only fellow two-time F1 world champion Graham Hill has achieved the feat of winning all three classic races in the history of motorsport.
Toyota have never won Le Mans, but are strong favourites this year.
Will McLaren's struggles see Alonso leave F1?
Nakajima's fastest time of three minutes 15.377 seconds around the 8.5-mile Sarthe circuit in the car he shares with Alonso and fellow former F1 driver Sebastien Buemi was exactly two seconds quicker than the team's other car, driven by Briton Mike Conway, Japanese Kamui Kobayashi and Argentine Jose Maria Lopez.
Without realistic competition in the front-running LM P1 category, the team have been forced to deny speculation that they are going into the race with a plan to ensure Alonso wins if at all possible given the publicity the victory would generate.
Alonso is the biggest star in the race but is not the only major ex-F1 name taking part at Le Mans.
Jenson Button, the 2009 world champion, will start seventh for the Russian-backed SMP team in a car he is sharing with ex-F1 driver Vitaly Petrov, who set the car's qualifying time, and Mikhail Aleshin, both Russians.
Button is racing in LM P1 but his car is not a hybrid, unlike the Toyota, and the rules dictate a number of handicaps for the non-hybrid cars compared to the Japanese factory entries.
Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya, a seven-time winner for Williams and McLaren in the 2000s, will line up 24th in his United Autosports car, which is in the lower LM P2 class, for slower cars.
Montoya has a chance to win the triple crown before Alonso, as he has already won Monaco and the Indy 500, but his car would need an unlikely run of luck involving reliability problems for all 10 LM P1 cars and many of the faster LM P2 cars for that to happen.
Scot Paul Di Resta, in the sister United Autosports car, will start 18th in the entry he shares with Briton Phil Hanson and Portuguese Filipe Albuquerque.
The race starts at 14:00 BST on Saturday.

The atmosphere at McLaren's Woking factory appears to be getting worse with hard-working staff members rumored to be on the verge of a revolt.
Employees have allegedly taken aim at McLaren's senior management, calling into question the executives' competence in light of McLaren's inability to improve its results.
But working conditions are also at the forefront of several disgruntled employees grievances, with one member of the personnel denouncing a "toxic" environment where hard work and extra hours are rewarded with Freddo bars!
"We have been working all hours of the day, sweating blood, and they give us 25p Freddo bars," the McLaren employee told the Daily Mail, speaking under condition of anonymity.
"The management hand them to the supervisors to divide them out to employees in their team. Strictly one each.
'Ill-informed' Whitmarsh gets flak from McLaren
"The Freddos are handed out when a package is produced on a tight schedule. For example, we were given two weeks to produce the Spain upgrade package in May.
"We all worked 24/7 to meet the deadline. We got it done in time. So a week later a Freddo was handed out to all staff involved as "a bonus". Supervisors are embarrassed to hand them out.
"We also got a Freddo last year after building the car."
The story reads like a silly and fabricated April Fool's prank, but according to the despondent employee, the miserable Freddo bonus scheme is only the tip of the iceberg.
The anonymous employee contends that McLaren's engineering staff is clueless about how to fix the MCL33's problems, its well-known weakness centered around its aerodynamics.
"They told us at the post-Canadian Grand Prix debrief that they knew what was wrong with the car but not how to fix it. They ask us when they are on six-figure salaries," said the employee.
"We call four of the management the “Untouchables”. There is Eric Boullier, racing director, Matt Morris, chief engineer, Simon Roberts, chief operating officer, and David Probyn, operations director. Some of them just walk about chatting. We have no respect for them.
"People are beginning to boycott the debriefs because they are a joke. The atmosphere is toxic. We would like to go on strike but people fear for their jobs."
Obviously, the anonymous opinion of one man cannot be taken at face value, but where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
Perhaps McLaren management would be better inspired to let discontent employees eat cake…
